Cons: - The AC system is crap. It went out entirely once. The maintenance team fixed it quickly. - The placement of the vents is poor. The living room is significantly hotter than the rest of the apartment in the summer. - Water went out once for the entire complex. Again, it was fixed quickly, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I wanted to see some apartments one day and there was one blonde lady that I didn't know the name. I have lots of questions to ask but she urges me a lot and she doesn't want to spend time with me. So my whole visit and tour took 10 minutes in total. Do you believe it?? I was sure to rent something before I go, but I completely changed my mind because of that rude, impolite and rushing lady. They need to hire somebody who doesn't make the customers escape.

Extremly careless and inefficient office staff. Apartment is infested with bugs and roaches. The maintenance staff entered my house without information and had left the work half done. I had to stay without restrooms working. Their emergency maintenance never picks up the phone and have no tracking. Definitely not worth the price. Office staff will make your life a hell

I lived here from about February 2009-February 2010, in one of their efficiencies. The apartment number and address was 8447 Southwestern Blvd. Apartment Number 6134 Dallas, Texas 75206. It had an air conditioning unit that sounded like a metal pipe was being hit with another metal pipe every time the unit would come on. It was so loud and jarring that it would wake me up just as I was beginning to drift off to sleep. I finally gave up trying to use the air conditioner at night, and slept with my sliding glass door open. It was easier dealing with the August heat than the noisy unit. I sent several letters to management complaining about the unit, but since it was not "technically" broken -just loud- they never did anything about it. I could have possibly moved out and fought them in Justice court, but it wasn't worth it. When I moved out, they also tried to take part of my security deposit by claiming that the bedroom floor wasn't properly cleaned. There was just one problem with that -there was no bedroom. It was an efficiency, and I cleaned the entire unit thoroughly before leaving. I have nothing to say but good things about The Village overall, but this unit was terrible, and I hope that somebody considering Apartment 6134 will reconsider.
