I was relocated here after an apartment fire in another complex in the Village--it was a disaster, but The Green welcomed me and got me into a unit straight away and made everything a lot easier. From the get-go my experience here was very good.
These apartments are older, so you do get some neighbor noise through these thin walls, especially if you're on the first floor and next to a parking lot like I am. But the amenities and upkeep in the complex are great. They've redone the main pool, which is very nice and modern now. And they just became pet-friendly, a huge bonus for me.
The staff is the main reason I'm writing a good review. I recently had a leak above my shower, and maintenance came promptly when I called, as they always do. A team of guys ripped through the ceiling and inspected the pipes. For a while they couldn't find where the leak was coming from, but instead of shrugging it off and putting a band-aid on the problem, these guys were dead-set determined to find and fix it. They tried running the water in my upstairs neighbor's bathroom, in the other bathrooms next to mine, flushing toilets, etc. They worked really hard and finally found the issue and got it fixed.
The property manager was in contact the whole time and came over in person to look at the construction. He gave me a concession on my rent, along with a new bathtub, upgraded shower tile, new flooring in the bathroom and kitchen, new sinks, and he even had a company come out and clean my carpets. The whole ordeal spanned a couple of weeks. The construction was inconvenient at times, yes, but it was all to improve the quality of the apartment, and the managers and maintenance staff always let me know what they would be doing and when. I really appreciate the hard work they put into fixing these issues and making me a happy tenant.
