They encouraged me from day one to let the know if anything needed repaired or if I have any issues and they have never let me down. Our neighbors are kind and look out for each other. I couldn't ask for a better place in such a great area.

It was very easy to find the location. The people I talked to where friendly and helpful. Went in, got keys to visit locations, returned, asked my questions, and left. They have emailed and texted in follow-up. I was very impressed with the two locations I visited. I, personally, liked being able to visit/tour on my own so I could look around and take pictures. I hope that when the time comes to rent, they will have rental units available. I was impressed!

As a student looking for affordable rent downtown, this place hits all the necessities. It's by the train tracks but not very noisy, the office is prompt to respond to any maintenance requests, etc, and the office is just down the street. Parking is plentiful, and rent is suuuper affordable. I currently have the two bedroom which I share with a roommate and cat and it still feels airy and open. Definitely recommend!

I had an appointment today for a showing during my lunch break. I arrived to the leasing office, in which they gave me the keys to the apartment so I can take a look around. Upon arrival to the apartment, the keys given to me did not unlock the door. In fact, the keys that were given to me did not fit into the Apartment's lock. After trying to get into the apartment for several minutes, I had to drive back to the leasing office to drop off the keys. By this time, my lunch was close to over and I did not have time for them to figure out which keys go to the actual apartment. This was a terrible first impression. On top of that, their schedules for showing aren't accommodating for those of us who work 9-5 , and skipping my lunch only to not see the apartment was an inconvenience. For reference, I work about 10 minutes away, it took me about 5 minutes to retrieve the keys upon arrival to the office, another 5 minutes to get to the apartment, I spent another 15 minutes trying to get into the apartment, 5 minutes to get back to the leasing office, a couple of minutes to drop the keys off and then let them know they were the wrong keys, and then 10 minutes to get back to work. :/

I had visited many of their properties and They all look so clean and nice it was even hard for me to choose... they are very quick in responding and complaining work orders, they send out individual text when you have a package. Jeff is awesome and they office is very respectful and very very professional!

This company is a little disorganized. I scheduled a showing for a property they had listed and even confirmed the appointment twice, but when I showed up to their office the employee at the desk informed me that the property was unavailable for viewing. I drove two hours to see that apartment, why would they schedule a showing for a property and ask me to confirm if it's not available? I replied to the confirmation email to see if it was some sort of mistake and got an automatic reply that said the individual would not be back in to the office until October 28th, 2016. I am very confused. This seems like a good indication of how the management probably works with their tenants.

My daughter and soon to be son in law live in an F&W Property apartment building. I am completely astounded at the way they treat people. They expect rent to be on time, yet when you call or email they don't respond at all. Their maintenance men come up with the cheapest temporary band-aide solutions for massive problems, such as mold and water damage. Not to mention the fact that they will charge you 11 hours for cleaning a 505 square foot apartment and argue that they need to keep ALL of the security deposit. This is a deplorable company and I would urge everyone to look elsewhere for housing opportunities.

The forced canine bedbug checks were really intrusive and annoying to deal with since I had cats and it was always on such short notice. My only option was to lock my poor pets in the small bathroom all day while I was at work. I've also read a lot about how the canine checks are not very accurate to begin with, so it felt really needless to put us all through it. That being said, I was always treated well when I went to the leasing office, they would accept packages for me and were polite every time. There was no problem with any of the business I had with them. Rent was a really great deal. My apartment building was on the edge of a shady area in Olde Towne East (Oak/Champion), which was the only reason I wanted to move out. The apartment itself was really nice inside on the 3rd floor.

I lived in an F&W Properties apartment from June 2015 - June 2016. I'm currently searching for a place to live in Las Vegas, NV and the slew of negative reviews for apartments here inspired me to review my experience with F&W in Columbus. Basically it was great. My girlfriend and I lived at 55 Hamilton Pk. Our budget was low and the place was priced well below most of the 1 bedrooms in nearby areas. No, it's not a luxury apartment but that's not what we were looking for at all. We just wanted a place that was comfortable in a neighborhood that wasn't too sketchy. The appliances weren't very updated but we never had any major problems with the ones we had. All of the maintenance requests that we did have we're resolved quickly and correctly. As for the neighborhood itself we were pretty satisfied. Hamilton Pk is on the borderline of King Lincoln and Old Towne East. As long as you're not anxious about seeing the occasional homeless person you'll feel totally comfortable here. We never had any negative encounters and it was always quiet at night. We enjoyed our experience living at an F&W apartment and would definitely recommend it.

Spoke to a gentleman named Fred, (who answered the phone seemingly peeved) but I just kept talking, because I saw a posting on hot pads with one picture - so I was inquiring whether or not there was another way I could see the interior of the unit, because obviously I don't want to inquire about a place that doesn't look appealing. He said he can provide a "word picture" and proceeds to describe the unit - anybody can do that sir. That's what pictures are for. I let that slide as well and inquired about coming to see the place, but unfortunately our schedules didn't match - which happens sometimes of course, but he sounded less than apologetic stating "well that's the way scheduling works sometimes" Thanks but no thanks. I understand you may receive a lot of calls throughout the day about postings and it can get overwhelming, but that's part of the job you signed up for - don't lose your politeness just because you've had a long day. Professionalism is everything.

I really have no idea where all those negative comments are coming from. I've been with F&W Properties for almost 5 years now. First of all, most of the buildings are older (which makes the FW Properties so unique) and you should expect that anything can go wrong. However, the maintenance guys "get on" the issues as soon as you submit maintenance request ( in most cases it doesn't even take them 24 hours as in other apt complexes). Everyone in the office is friendly, professional and helpful as much as they can be. I don't understand though, why people think that they can walk in, rent an apt and everything will be ready for them the very next day. Application fee and process is something that can not be avoided. everyone needs to go through it. In conclusion, FW Properties is a legit and professional company as long as you are too!!

UNPROFESSIONAL & INCOMPETENT I called last Saturday to confirm availability of an apartment. At that time I told the lady Brooke my move in date and expectations. I called today to confirm at 9 am. She gives me completely different information but insists I pay for and fill out the application without confirming the apartment would be ready in time for my move in date. She said she would call me back and of course she never did. I called to follow up at 4:30 pm. She transfers my call to another rude woman, the manager. This woman tells me it will take 5 days to run my application? FIVE DAYS!??! My current apartments in Grandview Heights took ten minutes. I've been renting in Columbus since 2003 and this is the first time I've heard of this. What do they need to do--run a DNA sample? Anyhow, it seems this company isn't interested in filling a vacant apartment to an upstanding citizen with perfect rental history. This company will give you the run around, try to sucker your out of application fees for naught and waste your time! STAY AWAY! ***UPDATE*** DISRESPECTFUL STALKERS After I wrote my very accurate review of F&W Properties, the owner Nate Fisher felt a need to send me three emails. In the first email he confirmed his company gave me the run around yet bullied me and asked me to change the review. In the second email he apologized, but before I even had a chance to respond he came back with a third email and completely attacked me, name calling--THE WORKS. I am baffled that an adult would act like this and have the nerve to seal the comments with God Bless? Stay away from this company. They will give you the run around then stalk you at TWO AM on social media. It's not worth the hassle.

This is by far the worst experience with an apartment I've ever had. My downstairs neighbor had a terrible bedbug problem, and they traveled to my apartment. I had to have my apartment treated twice while living there, and the second time it took them over two weeks to get someone out to treat it. In that time I couldn't even reside at my apartment because I was disgusted and couldn't sleep. Not only did the office staff deny the issue, it was also suggested that it was ME who was bringing them home. By the way, my neighbor ended up getting evicted (because of a continual bed bug problem, surprise surprise). To top off my living experience, my car got broken into while parked right under a street light. (Maybe because the apartment is right next to a scary looking half way house.) I ended up having to buy out of my lease because I didn't feel safe or clean in my own house. The office staff was completely not helpful in trying to resolve my issue. Their big plan was to relocate me to another one of their units (which may or may not have also had bedbugs, who knows) that was $150 more a month than I was already paying. After I paid almost $1000 to break my lease, they tried to keep my security deposit, and CHARGE ME MORE MONEY. The unit I lived in was way cleaner when I left than it even was when I moved in. I would never reccomend them to anyone. And I discourage anyone who mentions this management company from renting with them.

F & W Properties managent and front office staff are great. They are attentive friendly and on their job. I haven't lived in an apartment in over 20 years and I'm glad I chose F & W. The are on top of keeping the property together. Their response rate when service is needed is prompt, which is a plus.

TThese folks give the rental industry its negative reputation. Crystal Nunnery was the individual I had the misfortune to work with. My specific qualm with her professional conduct and that of the company she represents concerns breaking leases. I, like many, I think, did not read the textbook of a lease word for word. Shame on me. However, before I signed the lease, I specifically asked multiple times about the rules surrounding breaking the lease. I asked again before I decided to break the lease. Each and every time the answer was, "$200". Upon breaking the lease and moving out, the charge is now $200 in addition to every month the apartment sits empty. Oh, I am apparently also a liar for stating that this is the first I have heard of the actual policy. Oh, and also, just for kicks, they charged me a painting and cleaning fee, although I left the apartment spotless upon returning the keys. I am appalled not with the rules, but with the professional and human conduct. I would not have written this negative review had I been correctly informed. On a side note, I rented at their Roxbury Place Apartments. While the apartment and landscaping are both lovely, the buildings are from the 1950's and highly, highly inefficient. The windows are single-pane and actually freeze over from the inside in the winter and the gas stove emits fumes. Although I spent an average of about 7 days out of the month at the apartment, I paid more in utilities than my parents do at their large, suburban home. In summary, please be forewarned that these individuals have the professional conduct of used cars salesmen and you will pay a ton in utilities.
