Sausalito has been a perfect place for me. Its very quiet and easy to get around. The staff have been very helpful and I have not had any problems since I moved in earlier this month. I would recommend anyone to live here.

I just moved into Sausalito Apartments in the past month. The people in the office were very helpful and weren't pushy like at other apartment complexes. The pre-move-in check list they sent out made my move in very easy! I did have to request maintenance to come out because my refrigerator wasn't cold and they came out immediately and fixed it, no hassle!

As a current resident that has lived here for years, I have had a positive experience. The staff are friendly, and I have been treated fairly in my dealings with them. Of course, I consult my contract whenever I have an issue with them. To echo others, this place has been plagued by small water issues ever since I've been here, but the downtime is generally much less than one day. The most pernicious issue is with the water boiler not getting hot in a meaningful period of time. This situation has improved quite a bit. As for maintenance issues, I've had several over the years, and maintenance has been responsive and have addressed all of them in a reasonable period of time. As for cockroaches, all apartments have them--they are an inevitability. However, there are tried and true ways to reduce their population. As for the rent increase, I suspect they are in keeping with the housing market. Furthermore, I have seen several improvements that have been made, such as the secured laundrymat. In general, this is a quiet and peaceful apartment complex that consists of graduate students and families. Good place to live.

I love living here. Great management and friendly staff. I recently had problem with my air conditioner not working and it was after the office closed so left message in less than 5 minutes the manager called and in less than 20 minutes I had repairman at more door and he fixed my AC problem. Great place to live nice floor plans.

Have had problems with the maintenance guys stealing from my apartment. The management company employee's have lied for years to my wife and I. I have made an effort since moving in here, and the roach/ant sightings have gone from daily to can't remember the last time. The kids/tenants living here are rude at best, they act like they've never lived on their own. No consideration for any one else at all yelling and drunken. Our cars have been broken into, and plants stolen off the porch. My bike was stolen after 2 days of moving in here. However it is cheap to rent here and is on the University bus route. The owner has been pouring money into the complex for the last few years, and it is getting a little better physically. Any rating you read on here higher than a 3 was done by the apartment manager and her daughters and their friends...

The good: The laminate floors almost look real. The maintenance will usually fix your problems within 11 months! The bad: The maintenance guys suck at everything they apply themselves to. They also like to disbelieve everything you say is wrong, like my fridge LEAKING WATER FOR 11 MONTHS. Terrible service. Roaches. Roaches everywhere. *Que Buzz Lightyear* Ants, regardless of pest control. (I'm a clean person) The "new" appliances will take you back to the good old year of 1972. Don't like timers or clocks on the stove? Good, we don't have them. Love having a pool of water in your fridge all year long? Great, we have that as well folks! Don't forget the toilets, you'll unclog them at least once a week, stock up on Drano; I've spent over $100 on the stuff. Pet hair and human hair in the whole damn apartment when I moved in. Remember when they showed you the fans in the bedroom? Yeah, that was an option 20 years ago. You might not get them. Good luck with your adventures and I hope the sassy girls in the office can't convince you to apply. If you're looking at this review after you've applied, may the force be with you.

Would you like to live in a cockroach wonderland? then live here, its got all kinds of bugs and roaches for your buggy needs...on a serious note dont live here, there are so many cockroaches everywhere its not even funny. the laundry room has some, my apartment always has roaches, you can see roaches all over the apartment complex grounds outside. and what does management do about it? nothing. i ask them multiple times and all the manager says is "ill send my guys over and call pest control" nope never happened. i cant think of anything good to say about this place...the management sucks, parking lots flood easily, bug problems, annoying neighbors, and never working laundry machines. so yeah unless you are an avid bug collector or cockroach enthusiast..dont live here.

Lived here for 3 months. Although the apartment is nice, I LOVE the wood laminate flooring and the wall colors. On the downside, my dish washer leaks and doesn't clean the dishes, the shower SUCKS- no pressure at all, the water from the kitchen sink has to run for about 5 minutes before it gets warm-never gets hot, my refrigerator is leaking, no lights fixtures in the bedrooms, the dryers are horrible (30 minutes later clothes are still wet), and had items stolen out of the back my truck not mention my laundry basket from the laundry room. The staff is great, but living here is not worth the money. I will not be renewing my lease next year and will NOT go through Jamespoint management. Why? Because the tenant before obviously had a dog that chewed up the trim around the door. Instead of replacing it, they just painted over it (really?) And you would think they would be able to afford better dryers and make sure everything is working properly before they allow a tenant to move in. It just seems like sloppy and/or greedy management.
