Description

A fully furnished rental near King Street designed for monthly stays, this home features luxury furniture from high-end brands (West Elm, CB2), smart home technology (Sonos speakers, Hue smart lights), mid-century art, free parking and a large private garden.
The interior was designed by a New York artist who was raised in Charleston. As you can see in the photos above and text below, no expense was spared bringing it to life. If you’re looking for something special for an extended stay, this is it.
The Space:
This newly renovated Charleston monthly rental is walking distance to King Street and features:
- Designer furniture inspired by boutique hotels – there’s no IKEA in this home
- Concierge-style support from Proper Stays that you can text anytime for help
- Brand-new queen beds from luxury brands in each bedroom
- High-speed WiFi and comfortable workspace with a desk and chair from West Elm
- Amazon Fire TVs in the living room and both bedrooms
- Ring security system with outdoor cameras, alarm keypad and keyless smart lock entry
- A private, fully fenced-in back patio with two outdoor couches, a large pergola, outdoor living room, propane grill and dozens of plants – jasmine, roses, hydrangeas, etc. Note: The photos were taken in the winter, so you can’t see the hundreds of flowers in bloom
- Monthly professional gardening service maintaining both front and backyards
- Google Nest central AC/heat, plus a backup AC unit in case you need it
- Sonos bluetooth speakers in every room, controllable via smartphone
- Hue smart lights that let you change the color (reds, blues and beyond) of every light in the home from either your phone or the wall switches – perfect for entertaining!
- Private, fenced-in, off-street parking spot for one car
- Stocked kitchen with high-end appliances and all essentials, including 3+ coffee machines (Nespresso espresso machine, Nespresso coffee machine and more)
- Original art by notable artists, including a six-foot-tall neon sculpture
- Walking distance from many of Charleston’s best bars and restaurants (see below)
- Blackout curtains in every room for uninterrupted sleep
- Amenities designed with remote workers, travel nurses and corporate executives in mind for 30+ day, long term stays
Please note: Due to damage caused by a previous pet, dogs are no longer allowed.
The Neighborhood:
Hue House is located in Charleston’s Eastside – a soulful, up-and-coming neighborhood in the heart of downtown. It’s a 10-minute walk to upper King Street restaurants like The Ordinary and The Darling. Plus, you're just 1–5 minutes from:
- Live music venues: The Commodore, Tobin’s Market
- Cafés: City Lights, Mercantile & Mash at the Cigar Factory
- Restaurants: Big Bad Breakfast, Rappahannock Oyster Bar
- Cocktail bars: Last Saint, Dalila's
- Pickle Ball Courts: Courts in Martin Park
- The home is in front of Charleston’s oldest park, which is lively during the day with people BBQing and using the basketball courts, but is quiet and peaceful at night.
Rental Terms:
- Security Deposit (1 month stay): $1,500
- Security Deposit (2+ month stay): 1 full month’s rent
- Move-out cleaning: $350
- 30+ day stays only. No dogs. Utilities included. Lease via Duvet Homes.
In addition to the security deposit of one full month’s rent and monthly rent charges, you are required to pay a move out cleaning fee of $350 upon signing the lease agreement. The security deposit for a one month stay is $1,500. Anything longer than a month is one full month’s rent.
Please note that any bookings less than 90 days are subject to the City of Charleston's 10% accommodations tax. Tax is charged on the rental rate, cleaning fee, and pet fee (if applicable).
