Highpointe has the layout that could be a wonderful place to stay. Office managers are professional and courteous, but to expedite solutions to problems, a time limit should be expressed to residence in addition to follow up. The opinions of residence should be respected, not ignored. there are some problems that need to be addressed for improvement. First, there is little respect of privacy for paying customers. Constantly, there are mandatory inspections ,4 times a year or more, requiring apartment dwellers to leave their systems disarmed so workers can enter the apartment. There are no specific times given; they can enter the apartment anytime during an entire week. This is an invasion of privacy, and it allows room for theft. This is not safe. What could be helpful if inspections take place two times a year by an appointment. Additionally, if the residence who are requesting assistance get what they need, ratings would increase. Many complaints are ignored. Yet, there is mandatory inspection. Why? The madness needs to end by addressing complaints, not constantly invading privacy with unwanted entry.

I cant recommend this apartment although I liked it before moved in. I really hope the owner can see this message and help with our condition! We already spent a freezing cold Thanksgiving and we dont want the same for Christmas and New Year!
I moved in one month ago. And found the heating worked super slowly, No heating at all in both bathrooms. I reported this in the first week, communicated with office more than 10 times either went to there or called. Every time she said the contractor will come tomorrow but never came. We spent a cold Thanksgiving, take bath without heating. Everybody including my 10 month baby caught a cold this month, my wife is still recovering. And more we received a $150 bill just for the first half month which is more than five times comparing to same period last year. This week I went to the office again, she said she didnt know what to do! Maybe replace the whole A/C and it will take another 2 weeks. This is really frustrating and disappointing!

I saw some people looking at the apartment complex today and I was anxiously waiting to tell them not to live here!! Ive been here 2 months and it has been the worse experience. They are not worth the money.. the paint job is cheap throughout. My wall has mold on it because of my soaking wet closet, that no one clearly cares about. My kitchen and bathroom floor are coming up.. the other night the maintenance staff left an empty apartment open all night which would probably explain the mosquitoes and gnats that greeted me when I moved in.. the trash is horrible raccoons dance on top of it every once in a while & last but not least Jordan should find her an at home job that doesnt require smiling, laughing, or dealing with people at all! Especially not families. Her spirit and attitude is lazy. If they know the apartment is as average as it is, they could at least put a warmer face at the front of the leasing office. She runs people away off first impression because she makes it clear whats going to happen once youre living there. Im only putting emphasis on Jordan so maybe someone over her can talk to her and shell change it. 0/10 do not recommend

They also advertise section 8 compatibility, again,another lie.
It's an older complex with just one water meter per building,not one per unit,as it should be if they are going to bill tenants for their water usage. Taking the reading from just one meter and dividing it equally between the number of units in that building is illegal. This is why section 8 will not work with the property management.
BEWARE!!!
The staff was rude , belligerent , and obnoxious when my section 8 voucher was turned down by the state and I asked to be refunded my $50 application fee. They refused at first and repeatedly interrupted me on the phone as I attempted to explain the situation to them and then just hung up on me. The next day , after reconsidering , they returned to me the original money order I had given to them.
Great size apartments. Tori, the property manager is super friendly and, quiet helpful. Apartments are quiet throughout the day and night. And it's affordable being in Homewood.

I have only been here a couple of months but so far so good. The staff is very nice, the maintenance people are very prompt and won't stop til they get the problem resolved. I know there were a lot of complaints before but I can tell that they are really doing the best they can to bring the property back to a great place to live but we as tenants must do our part and make sure we put our trash in the designated trash cans or dumpsters and not through our trash from our cars in the parking lot and keep our surroundings clean. So great job to the staff and I will definitely do my part to make sure we have a Nice Environment and a clean and safe place to stay...

Con: -We had animals in our attic and they never dealt with the issue, although we would wake up nearly every morning in the fall/winter/spring with something (squirrel/possum/raccoon) scurrying around.

I lived in this complex right at three yrs. When I first moved here it was just ok. Over time, I began to see a HIGH turnover in management. Every month seemed as if there was a new office manager! They are older apts, they tried to update the kitchen appliances but that's about it. Spiders along with other critters are EVERYWHERE! There is no gym as advertised, and I never once saw the pool open. Maintenance, (when they had more than one person) would come out and patch things up in a timely manner. However, I would have to call them right back out to patch it up again. Things were never fixed around there. Well, I finally moved out in July 2017 and the NEW office staff informed me that I would get my deposit back in 30-60 days. Well, it's going on 90 days and I still haven't recieved MY "processed" deposit! Now, no one answers the phone in the office. I even called the real estate company ROCO and they don't pick up! Good luck getting maitence or pest control out to your apartment, and there's always trash everywhere which has brought in a bad raccoon problem. The inside of the apartment is nice, but it's not worth how much you pay a month since you don't get everything you think you're being promised.

Not have maintenance PERIOD !!! The leasing office lie repeatedly, I have emailed them my new resident complaints and now it's 9 days later and nothing has been done. Is ROCO to cheap to hire the proper maintenance team? Is management more concern about getting a check before the care of residents? This is ridiculous, I can not and will not deal with this unorganized community. I'm not only speaking from what I'm going through but I'm speaking for everyone that live in High Pointe as a WHOLE. Action will be made if nothing is changing in a timely matter. Let's not forget tenants have RIGHTS to, and I know some of the things I'm seeing ARE against the law.

Do you wish to not receive what you are paying for? You can find that here. "Our minimum work order turn around rate is 1 week." Just kidding, bud. It's 58 days and counting. That's not counting the fact that it's been 96 days since I moved in, and I still don't have a dishwasher or fully-functional refridgerator. It's called High Pointe Apartments because you have to be high to stand it. The office staff is absolute hell to deal with, they are nothing but attitude and incompetence.

The staff is beyond unprofessional...the fact the one of the office guys wears his addias slides to work should have warned me... but everything from this place is like a nightmare. I was supposed to move in originally the 11th of July, the moved the move in date to the 14th without communicating to me or my roommates. So our new move in date was the 14th. I just happened to go up there and check on things to find out that they changed it. On the 14th they called us and told us we had to move in the next day because the had to turn off every apartments water. I decide to go up there to check because if that WAS the case I understand, but was a complete lie. The are not honest and crooked they even did are pro rated rent incorrectly. To anyone who thinks of moving here don't nothing he is worth!! I just got my deposit back and found a place that SOOOO MUCH better!

They don't maintain the trash either. The dumpster is overflowing onto the grass and it stays like that every week. This is a terrible place to move. I will be moving out as soon as my lease runs out this month.

This place is beyond awful. Not only do they not have a maintenance team the front office lies all the time. When ever you call for a issue they make all kind of ridiculous excuse. My dishwasher have been leaking and when I told the front office the manager had the nerve to tell me it's because I don't use it. There is trash build up behind the apartment complex and the light do not work by my door. DO NOT MOVE HERE. I will be contacting the health department early Monday morning because I don't pay rent to hear excuses and unfix problems.

Our air has been out for over a week now. It first went out last Friday. The next Saturday (this past Saturday) it was "fixed". Today I came back to my apartment (my roommates and I literally left the complex and stayed with our parents for a few days because it has been so unbearable) and the air is out AGAIN! Keep in mind it has been over 80 degrees outside on some of these days. It was still not fixed. We don't know what to do at this point. We try to call and no one answers or they lie to us and say someone will show up that day. But the problem will not be fixed. Our next move is to ask for the company that owns the establishment. We really don't know what to do at this point and haven't even been staying at our apartment because we can't live in the heat.

Literally, the worst apartments I have ever lived in. I witnessed two men running away from 15 cops right from my sliding glass door. My neighbor had her car broken into, and another neighbor got their tires sliced. I was approached late at night after I got off of work by a man who I had never seen before. The management was neither helpful nor friendly, and their maintenance men were sketchy. Yes the rent is cheap, but you should honestly value your safety more.
