I lived in the Delano for 4 years while a graduate student at UMD. I had a wonderful experience at the Delano. It is well managed by Giovy and other staff. If I ever needed anything fixed, the staff were very responsive, respectful, and kind. The building (inside and outside) is very clean (no bugs or pests). The free UMD shuttle is right outside the building and an easy way to get to campus. A lot of graduate students live in the building so it is very quiet. I highly reccomend the building, especially considering how well priced it is for what is offers!!!

Hands down one of the best places to live in the area surrounding DC. I have absolutely zero complaints. The monthly rent is extremely reasonable especially given the fact that heating costs are included in the rent. It's extremely comfortable and cozy, with strong walls so that you hear very little from your neighbors. The staff are highly responsive and some of the kindest people I've ever met in my life. They ensure that you get whatever you need, exactly when you need it, and have handled the pandemic especially well. There's plenty of parking, and plenty of space everywhere - in the hallways, in the elevators, in the rooms, and in the closets. The building itself is very secure. The amenities are also lovely - the gym is very nice and never too busy, and the terrace above the parking garage is a really relaxing place to spend time with visitors (especially during the warm months when the garden has plants!). I frankly couldn't be more proud to live here.

I love living here. Going on a year and this has been the most quiet community I have ever been in. The manager is wonderful and I love having a washer and dryer in my unit.

Lived here for 2 years as a graduate student and recently left to move out of state. If I could take the Delano with me, I would! The level of service and maintenance around the apartment is excellent. After one year, the lease moves to a month-to-month, making move-out flexible and easy. Giovy (the manager) and Alberto (the maintenance coordinator) are both very sweet and accommodating people. When I moved to the area I asked for a lease with a quick turnaround time of a few days, and they accommodated my request and I was moved in within one week! One time there was an interior water problem as a fire sprinkler had been activated two floors above me, and the response from management was excellent, repairing everything for free, promptly, and without any hassle. For this kind of life, the value per dollar of rent is superb. I cannot say enough nice things about this apartment and the whole team. The leases have in-apartment washers and dryers which is super convenient. The keys also have a fob which is required for entry past the lobby, so the apartment felt very safe. The structure between floors is made of concrete, so I never heard my neighbors at all. The University of Maryland bus shuttle stops on the street right in front of the building. If I ever move back to the area I am going to look up the Delano first.
