I highly doubt that you can find a better deal in West Lafayette. I have a 2 bedroom for the price of most 1 bedrooms near Purdue. On the bus route and pet friendly. The grounds are clean. The pool and fitness center are nice. Maintenance is punctual.

I lived at Mayfair Village with my family during the first eight months of 2015. The management staff had changed only days before we moved in late December, 2014. Overall, we have been happy with the maintenance. They came in a timely manner when requested. The staff is nice. We were also lucky to have a fully renovated apartment (due to fire), but, to tell the truth, they used very cheap material especially for the closet doors, windows, and kitchen cabinets. We also had a very downsized refrigerator. Again, overall, we were satisfied, because they were brand new, but they will not last long. The only obvious downside for us, a family of three with a toddler, was the water pooling around the apartment. Especially when it rained, we jumped around the apartment like rabbits to avoid at times 3 to 4 inch water that pooled on what is supposed to be a pedestrian walkway. If my daughter were little younger, she could easily swim and dive on certain days. But I also think that, despite water pooling being a general issue for the entire complex, those who lived on the southern side of the building 8 suffered from this issue more than any other occupant in the entire complex. If they offer you a good price, you can live here. I don't think the 2+1 apartments here worth $670.

Everything about Mayfair has been perfect. It has been a very easy transition for me. There is a nice pool and fitness center for residents. Mayfair is within walking distance to restaurants and the grocery. Maintenance is quick to respond. It's also convenient to be on the bus route.
