My buddy and I lived here for 4 years and had great experiences. Concrete building is solid and soundproof, I worked night shift at hospitals and never had an issue with sound carrying. We had get togethers with friends and never had complaints. The pool in the summer is a dream and management always quickly and considerately took care of any issue. I usually knew where to go find the maintenance man anyway when I had an urgent issue as he was always around. We loved living here!

I've lived here for about 2 years and enjoyed it. It was close to my job, uptown and Lake Calhoun, and it was very safe. It was relatively quiet and management was good. Due to the crazy housing market, rent increased by about 20 bucks each year i was living here which is understandable. However, I think it is still in a prime location with reasonable rent. The only cons are that the building is really old and will have cracks in the wall and the cold air from the AC unit does not distribute equally to your bedroom so expect to sleep in your living room in the hot summer. I would still live here if it wasn't for my new job that required me to move.

I moved to the cities quick, and had a great experience living in Joppa Lane Apartments. Pros: Great atmosphere, Good diverse range of neighbors. Very Quiet, at the expense of some cellphone service quality. (Never heard my neighbors younger kids, or the other college age tenants once.) Garage is nice and clean, also very safe. Parking outside is very safe. Dishwasher and paid for utilities Close to bike path, 5 dollar taxi to Uptown. Caretaker, and staff are very helpful. Good Ventilation, lighting in rooms Cons: OK cellphone service, need to give out your wifi password to every visitor. (by-product of building being super quiet) Central Laundry in every the buildings For the price and atmosphere, it's tough to beat.
