TL;DR Dont rent from Brianwood Apartments or Bentley Apartments unless youre looking to get scammed Never thought Id have occasion to write a negative review on Facebook, but my girlfriend and I have been dealt an incredibly underhanded blow thanks to Brianwood Apartments and Bentley Apartments. We signed a lease several weeks ago for one of their units in the Valley, but seeing as they only have an office at their complex in Airway Heights, we were first given a tour of a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment at the latter. Bella, our guide who was perfectly gregarious at first, assured us that the actual place wed be moving into would look exactly the same as the one she showed us - two large closets in the master bedroom, two bathrooms with full tubs, a dual counter kitchen, a spacious living room, and a small dining area with sliding windows. There would be a patio overlooking a quiet patch of grass, updated appliances, and covered parking. It looked terrific, and we decided we wanted to live there. We ended up signing the lease a few days later and dropping a $250 holding fee for, as they put it, just in case you have to back out of the lease. Fast forward to yesterday, when we go look at the place ahead of moving this Friday. The maintenance guy explained to us on the way in that all units on the first floor were handicapped-friendly, which became apparent the second we stepped through the door - the living room was far smaller than the one wed seen, the patio became an exposed patch of concrete not 30 feet from the street, the kitchen was a completely different setup and the sliding windows replaced with a single rectangular pane, one bathroom had a stool connected to the back of the tub and the other one only had a shower with a seat in it (as well as the sink being OUTSIDE the bathroom), both the master and spare bedrooms were considerably tinier, there was only one closet that was also more cramped than we were led to believe, all the appliances had clearly been there for quite a while, and there wasnt an awning in sight in the parking lot. Naturally, we were slightly displeased (read: blind with rage). After discussing our options with our friend and my girlfriends mom, both of whom had tagged along, we determined that this was unacceptable and contacted the office to voice our disappointment in them for pulling this obvious bait-and-switch. They informed us that we would not receive our money back...I assure you, good Googlers, that we were only backing out because Bella specifically and Bentley Apartments by proxy LIED TO US AND SOLD US A FALSE PROMISE, not because we didnt want to live in the apartment we believed we were getting. Beyond screwing us over, I find it in exceedingly poor taste for them to scam us instead of offering the place to someone with disabilities who could actually benefit from the features therein. It really is a perfect spot for someone who has mobility issues or is elderly; for two able-bodied people in their late 20s who thought the apartment would look a certain way and found this to be wholly untrue, it was an insult on several levels. Shame on you, Bentley Apartments! If youre looking for housing in Spokane, look anywhere else!

Wait to hear back on the situation after we had to clean it up to store our things in it as they knew. We needed to have our uhaul back but we were late as we had to clean this mess up. No way to get a hold of anyone as it was a weekend. So maintenance said he was far out and wed be better off cleaning it up. He was the only person that showed any sympathy in the matter. He felt embarrassed and said hed get to the bottom of it. All we got from the apartment- it wasnt supposed to be given to you. It was already held. There is nothing we can do to compensate, which includes paying for the garage. I refuse to pay for this infested garage that we had to clean up due to there lack of professionalism. I dont understand how a corporate can care so little and make so many excuses for something that was not our fault. I dont care the reason of how that garage was given to us, I care that it was given to us in that condition and they are making every attempt at saying it isnt there fault and that we still have to pay. Im sorry, the apartments my parents just moved into gave them a free garage for a reason smaller than this. And youre telling me this is no big deal after all we went through to get everything moved here from the other side of the state. What is wrong with people? Other way around and you wouldve charged us a fat fine for something like this. I do not care the reason! Take responsibility for a mistake youve made. All we ask for is, were terribly sorry and we will give you a new garage. I even said on the phone Id pay for the new garage. But why should we after what we went through because of you. Instead were told corporate wont care. Thanks though...

We have lived here for about five years and love it. The maintenance staff is amazing. The location is close to the hwy/freeway but...

We have lived here for about five years and love it. The maintenance staff is amazing. The location is close to the hwy/freeway but is quiet and kind of secluded. In the winter you will see staff out early clearing the sidewalks and plowing the lot. We love this place and will be staying until we purchase a home.

Fairly quiet place to live. The parking lot in the winter is a bit ridiculous. Snow and ice removal is not a high concern....

Fairly quiet place to live. The parking lot in the winter is a bit ridiculous. Snow and ice removal is not a high concern. Not a fan of the heating units one room is blazing hot and another is ice cold. Overall not to bad but not worth more than 800 a month.
