Current resident who will most likely be a former resident once my lease is up. Starting with the positives, which there are a lot of. The building is clean and well maintained with a lot of preventative maintenance done so there's no surprises. Neighbors are quiet and it feels really safe. While the Office Manager has changed going on 5 times this year - I've never felt like we don't have any representation in the building. Everyone downstairs has been great. I really like the area and as a dog owner, prefer it to downtown or even some of the trendier neighborhoods as there is less opportunity for my pup to eat something or step on something he shouldn't. Door to door from Square One all the way around Green Lake is about 4.5 miles so it's a great walk. One of the selling points for a lot of people is ultimately why I don't see myself staying here, the proximity to Whole Foods. It's nice to be able to walk across the parking lot for groceries but from 3AM to 6AM you are basically living in their loading dock. It's SO LOUD and aggressively so that it's impossible to get used to. Another thing for me, and this might be typical of a lot of apartment buildings is that it's stuffy and hot. I don't know how it can be 50 degrees outside for days and my apartment is still 73-74 degrees with the window open. If the windows weren't open, it would get and has gotten to 85 degrees in the apartment. Which being on the backside of the building...means that I get to enjoy all the beeps, honks, and clangs of the WF loading dock.. Overall, you could choose much worse than Square One and if they could do something about the building temp (within their control, maybe) and hope to do something about the WF noise in the middle of the night - it'd be 5 stars

Square One is a great place to live! The management team (Nyssa, Erica, and Ivan) are kind and helpful. It is such a pleasure to come home to their smiling faces. The complex is safe, clean, and quiet. The in-unit amenities are up-to-date. It is wonderful to have a good washer and dryer in the unit. Everyone who has visited me is amazed at the large bathroom. "It's like a hotel!" In addition, being close to all of the great restaurants, Whole Foods, and shops is a bonus. The rooftop deck has stunning views. I have lived in many different places all over the country and can safely say this is the best! I highly recommend living here!

After being a resident of the Roosevelt neighborhood for 4 years we knew we couldnt leave it. But where to go? I got the Apartment List app and entered all the information, how much I wanted to pay, size of the apartment, all the amenities I wanted and boom! Square One was at the top of my recommended places! So we called, 5min later we were getting a tour. The management here is simply superb!(Nyssa, Erica and Ivan rock!!) Quick to respond, extremely helpful and they care. They honestly make living here a dream. Schedule your tour now! This place wont disappoint.
