Update: So I still will given ASPEN 5 stars, because for once in my leasing experience, everyone in the office knows my name, and when my roommates ran out on the electric bill (which was in my name) and abandoned the responsibilities of the household, the leasing and complex managers Meggan and Daviette stepped up to the plate and helped me fix the issue and get the electricity back as fast as they could given the weekend had come and CPS has a frustrating process. Thankfully they have since changed the electric policy for the upcoming year starting August 2015 for everyone which will help a TON. My advice? Don't move here if you are not ready to be an adult. Simple. You have to pay your bills on time, rent is due on the first, late fees after the 3rd, they are very accommodating if you are on financial aid, just communicate with them. They are mainly for UTSA students as far as marketing BUT anyone can live here, from any school or even if you aren't a student. All utilities are paid through Conservice, again just pay your bills on time, don't eat your roommates food especially if you don't have permission, clean up after yourself, don't have a zillion parties or a zillion million of company over. Be respectful, you are living with 1-6 other ppl depending on your house. Don't steal, don't lie, don't be FAKE, don't vandalize just enjoy your time at ASPEN. There is a difference between being a young adult and a young child. There are many things to do here, I really like the movie room (although more a/c is needed) and I like the other amenities it has to offer. Everyone here seems friendly, but you have to keep in mind you are living with other ppl, friends or not, strangers or not, and ANYTHING can happen. Your roommates can be sweet as pie, cool as a cucumber, lazy as sloth, dumb as a rock or a complete mental psycho...it's life and sadly it happens, just do the best you can and get to know the cool people in the leasing office. Anyways choose Aspen Heights San Antonio, it's a great, affordable, nice place and if you can't make it at Aspen then you aren't ready to be an adult.
Old Post: Other than living with a handful of immature, idiotic, self-centered, jealous roommates (I was unfortunate)..I LOVE living here at Aspen Heights. I have seen all of the other student housing close by and they are either not what their picture portrays or they are TOO expensive BUT here at Aspen, they are personable, they KNOW my name, maintenance fixes issues lightening quickly, and they are always giving out a prize, free food..or something free. I live in a four bedroom house with a balcony, and it's spacious enough for a king size bed, and two bedroom sets..I also FINALLY have cable thanks to Aspen Heights, for standard cable which is like 150 channels PLUS HBO, I pay for DVR service through Time Warner and my "Cable" bill is only $28! You don't have to do this, but keep in mind you will only have 13 channels like hotel-esque channels without a box; and if you owe TWC money, no biggie, bc u are leasing a box not service on ur own, Aspen Heights has got u covered. I LOVE Aspen Heights for its affordability and kindness of the staff; no they aren't perfect, but it's WAY better than and cost efficient than any other places in San Antonio for the chill neighborhood and all the amenities included. Parents, Students (whether UTSA or Alamo community Colleges)-I'm a Texas A&M San Antonio gal myself, you will not go wrong by choosing Aspen Heights..trust me. My only complaint, is especially during the warmer months, between 11pm-5am there's like racing and people outside chilling, some screaming, partying, the walls are thin, so you can hear everything outside..Everything, BUT our new Bike Cop is Awesome and Nice and he pays attention to everything, don't let his bike riding fool you, he's aware, great hire on Aspen's part..sign ur lease at Aspen Height San Antonio! Sign your lease EARLY-Like BEFORE the summer, heck before the end of the Spring Semester to ENSURE you have a spot and can get pretty cool roommates. God Bless :)
