My husband and I lived at Winton House for a year, and it was a horrible renting experience. The front door to our apartment building was constantly broken and left open, our neighbors blared music in the middle of the night, and even though it was a "smoke-free" community, the halls smelled so strongly of smoke it was hard to breathe in them. There were always people smoking on the front stairs of the building, and management did nothing about it. Maintenance was hard to get a hold of, and at one point they sent a letter to us saying that they needed us to fill out the included form if we wanted to get a new sink installed. We said we were fine with our current sink, and didn't fill out the form, but the maintenance man still came in at 7am without any warning and replaced our sink, but broke our pipe so we could only use half of the sink from then on. The management office lost several rent checks, so you can only pay rent online. They gave us the wrong keys for our apartment, laundry room, and pool. Whenever I went to the management office, the sign on the door would say you could come in, but it was locked and I would have to call them several times and then wait for quite a while before they would come and let me into the office. The manager there, Jamie, is rude and condescending, and makes racist comments about residents/potential residents, as well as being completely incompetent at her job. During the course of our 1 year stay there, we had issues with mice, ants, and bed bugs. The whole apartment has bedbugs, we would consistently see other units being treated. They do not make an effort to keep the buildings clean or pest-treated. The parking lots constantly have potholes and other residents will run into your car or scratch it if you stay here. The only good part about this apartment is the lady who does some of the maintenance work for building 7544. She is the sweetest lady, despite being treated horribly by management. Living here was a nightmare. LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
