I lived here for about a year, and the apartment was fine but I swear on my life, the office and management have never picked up when I call or leave a message. I ended up having to fix every problem in the place myself because I just couldn't seem to get a hold on anyone. Moving out was just as bad. The property manager (i had to follow someone i to the building when the manager didn't pick up) to find her in her office simply not answering the phone. She had lost both my and my roomates keys, and charged me a ton of money for each set, even though she was the one who lost them. Now just to keep trying to wrestle what's left of my security deposit, two months later. Would never recommend to anyone.

This place is complete crap. The price for the area is absolutely too high, even though the ammenities exist. But the ammenities are never taken care of. They show you ome apartment and then trick you into signing the lease to another. Everything about the company is shady. Neighbors are pretty awesome and the maintenance guy is great, but it can't make up for the two-faced staff. Also, the apartment I lived in was not up to igress code. The air fails every summer and because there was no outdoor window in my apartment, I actually could not breathe because without air, the air in my apartment could not get recycled. I had to take my dog to a park miles away to just sit because my dog couldn't breathe either. I found an apartment with better ammenities and in a GREAT area for almost 100 dollars cheaper each month. Don't live here. It is not worth it. Also, there is constant violence happening in the area. There is human and sex trafficing on the block. There are drug houses. I saw someone shooting at others across the street. The lobby is not locked outside, so people manage their way into the building all the time but just following others in. The door doesn't lock as soon as it shuts. It takes about 15 seconds. Especially in the winter, there are homeless people soaked in urine that will come in and sit in the lobby chairs. People walk in and urinate and more on the stairs and it takes maintenance FOREVER to clean that because management doesn't tell him about it for days. Also, on a good week, the 'onsite' manager is there 3 times a week and she is SO FOCUSED on filling apartments that she will not hear the residents. She'll smile and look sincerebut then nothing you mention will get done. There is also a rumour that she plans to turn the art areas into something else, but it could just be a rumour. When I signed my lease, I did it because the ammenities looked good at first glance and the manager seemed nice and wi-fi was included. But wi-fi was NOT included after October. Also, the manager 'lost' 500 dollars of my security deposit. Speaking of, for some reason, my deposit was 1000 dollars. Then I had to pay 675 for rent every month for a studio with no windows. It's crap.This place is a total rip off. David is right. STAY AWAY. And I was good friends with some of the other residents. They too had problems with management offering different apartments than they show to propective tennants. I also will be contacting my friend who works for the city to do an igress inspection on the apartments. (He's a city inspector). And I will check back once in a while to make sure my review is still here as well.

I'm a current resident here and I think the place is awesome. Central air for the first time in my life--no need for window units. Elevator works great for an 8 story building, definite must have because of my physical condition. My floor is definitely the most unique floors in the building as half the floor is comprised of catwalks that overlook an art studio that occasionally (every couple months) displays work that people from the community can choose to view. The security of the building is something they are working to fix at the moment as it is transitioning from an open lobby to a locked lobby. Having it open provides some occasional problems but having a dedicated community watch program for the building does help. Driving wise it's two blocks off I-43 so it's a prime location to get to all places. It's located on bus line 54, a block from line 80, and 7 blocks from the 15 and Green lines making it easy to hop a bus to literally anywhere.

My daughter filled out an application and went to go look at an apartment to possibly sign an lease to move in. At the last minuet, they showed her another apartment and she declined moving in. However, the Apartment Mgr. called WE Energies and put the electricity in my daughter's name and it has been on with new tenants living there. How can you do this? She never even moved in. I guess it's time to lawyer up! Scum bag Apartment Mgr....
