I wish I could give it zero stars. I spent one night at this dump before deciding to check out early the next day. It is terribly outdated and smelly. There was no iron or ironing board and the bathroom was dirty. I only spent one night there but they charged me for two. Here's why. I booked the room through Travelocity. When I called Travelocity and told them that I checked out after spending one of four nights there, they contacted the hotel. The hotel manager/supervisor told the Travelocity agent that I was told to contact them by 2pm. That was a lie. I was never told to contact Travelocity by a certain time. Because I contacted Travelocity after 2pm, I was charged for an extra night. Even though I checked out at 10am. I wasn't going to leave a review because I wound up finding a much better hotel rather easily. It was the hotel manager's dishonesty along with the poor condition that the room was in that caused me to write this. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DUMP!

Clean hotel located in korea town in Los Angeles. Amenities are pretty bare, you get two bars of soap, one small bottle of shampoo and one small bottle of lotion. You get one free bottle of water. There is an in room mini refrigerator. The TV works and nothing smells funky. The decor is dated and a bit old. No continental breakfast is included. Ac works well and was frosty most of the night. You are a few long blocks away from any stores but there are vending machines in the lobby. Wifi was acceptable and free. Water for bath was hot. Overall a decent hotel with a dated look.

Great hotel as long as you know what you're getting into. The room rate was very affordable for the area and included free on site valet only parking. The staff was very helpful, and the hotel was quiet at night. The location is great for exploring Koreatown and is walking distance from many. The room was very clean. The issue many people have that I've seen from reviews is the dated decor and old appliances. Our room had some areas with feeling wallpaper, improperly sized cutouts for the thermostat, etc. There was also a shortage of outlets in the room as well. If decor isn't a huge priority or deal breaker for you, JJ Grand Hotel is great. Awesome rates and clean rooms for a good night's sleep.

Was there for an event, it's a hotel in K-town so it's marketed more towards Koreans. The valet service was great, cost for valet was reasonable. The restaurants upstairs were great, food was tasty and service is great. They have 2 rooms for private parties and can be setup for presentations. Overall it was a great experience at this hotel.

Unless you like Korean food there is not much to do in the area but I guess that's an issue for me to bring up with my travel agent. The hotel itself a bit dated. Small things make a big difference. It's a double room but they only give you one creamer for the coffee. One big towel for the bathroom etc. Not all is bad however. The staff were friendly. You get a wide selection of channels from sports to movies and there is WiFi (hit and miss for signal) I feel 3 stars is a fair report as it's not a terrible place just needs a bit of an update.

I got a good night sleep here on a last minute booking. The staff was friendly and check-in was very easy. It was very quiet for being in downtown Los Angeles. My room seemed a little dated and that's the only reason for no 5 stars. The room I had was extremely clean and overall good. Also, the building itself is pretty cool if you're into that sort of thing.

I went to the restaurant on the 2nd floor and it was average Korean food. They have a large variety on the menu that includes Japanese and Korean options. But on holidays and the weekend Japanese food is not available. I ordered the stone pot bimbimbap. It was not bad. This place would appeal to older korean folks.

No internet connection, lying about rooms being sold out when the suite room was right by the elevator with horrible elevator noise with high pitch noise non-stop. Gas leak smell, asked for another room, they told me they were sold out. When internet was not working, they told me to bring the computer down.didn't bother sending anyone up to check. took 20 mins for the front desk to figure out how to manually find the wifi (they are not set up to handle mac) and once i returned to 5th floor, it dropped constant and they told me to bring the computer down again. when the noise was unbearable and couldn't sleep. they magically had another suite room on 6th floor, made me wait 10 mins trying the key and the person came to show me the room had to run down to get another key card, came back in 10 mins and the key still didn't work, told me to wait so he can magically get another suite room available on the 3rd floor, by then i was passing out on the hall way... same thing the key didn't work, so i had to wail and he ran down to get another key card. ....internet never worked, there was plastic burning smell in that room throughout the stay, i burned all my iPhone data and late for presentation after presentation. asked for a manager-told me he/she is not available as she is out of town. they told me when i was checking out to request Expedia to refund and they will confirm. Expedia just called them, they flat out deny the whole story.

The food was also mediocre. This hotel is good to host meeting and events but not overnight stays unless you get a good deal.
