A great apartment to live in. Lived there for 3 years, the neighbors are friendly, safe and quiet neighborhood, and the managers are very helpful if any issues arise. Apartment is very clean, you have your own storage, ac unit for those humid days and rent is very affordable for a 2 bedroom apartment. Highly recommend.

This community of apartment buildings are quiet, spacious, and well maintained. The units are spacious,clean, and modern. The apartments have a well staffed main office for any questions or needs along with several maintenance employees available. Each building has a picnic table and grilling area. These buildings are close enough to downtown Milwaukee and Milwaukee's East Side and all the restaurants and entertainment it has to offer while still having a quiet suburb feel.

Very nice apartment complex with professional management and responsive, efficient maintenance staff. I moved from Ohio a year and a half ago and have been very happy here. Gas heat is more comfortable than electric and central air is great. New garages are a nice addition. Quiet residential area very close to everything. Check it out!

My husband an I have been living at Tuckaway Heights since June, 1997. We have been extremely happy with the apartment complex. Maintenance issues are handled in a time manner. Staff are friendly and always willing to help. When a major transformation is to take place such as the pool being repaired or building garages the office always asks their tenant families whether they want this or not and how much their rent would be increased. The grounds are well maintained and I love the fact that the complex is located in a park like setting complete with picnic tables and grills. There is central air and insulated windows as well as carbon monoxide and smoke detectors in the apartments. (Maintenance changes the batteries at the beginning of each year.) Hallways are vacuumed and the laundry area cleaned each week. I read one person's review that he was upset because during snow storms you had to remove your car be 9am for the parking lot to be plowed and if you didn't you would get a ticket and have your car towed. What he failed to mention is that at the start of winter the office sends out a memo to each apartment reminding them that after snow storms their cars have to be removed from the parking area so that parking lot can be plowed. While no one likes to go out early in the morning in the cold to clean off their car, it eventually has to be done. Besides, you are not being charged for snow plow removal which if you owned your own home would have to pay for. As for being ticketed and getting towed, I would be upset if I went out moved my car but my spot was not plowed because the tenant next to me was too lazy to move his or her car. I feel that Tuckaway's rent is reasonable for what is included and I will always recommend Tuckaway Heights to anyone who is looking for a well maintained apartment complex located in a very safe area with locked lobbies and well lighted parking lots.

I love my apartment! It's one of the most spacious I have lived in/seen. The closet space is amazing. Bedroom is spacious. Kitchen/dining area gives plenty of space! The dishwasher is what sold me on it lol The grounds are well kept year round! You also get 1 assigned off street parking spot and there are reserved spots for tenants besides the visitor parking for visitors, which is more parking then I have seen at most places (even with the installation of the garages). It is also very nice to have grills and picnic tables around the grounds! You don't see that at a lot of apartments. As amazing as my apartment is I truly believe the people are what make it extra special! The office staff is super friendly and helpful as are the maintenance people! I am not high maintenance by any means but there are several members of the staff who remember me. Any repairs are done promptly! The neighbors are just as great! I've had one of my neighbors offer to walk me to my door when it was later at night. Nothing is perfect but tuckaway heights walks pretty close to perfection! And I feel I need to give my 2 cents on some of the issues people have mentioned because i feel they misrepresent the apartment.....It is after all apartment living and I do not hold the complex responsible for how others behave, you can only see so much on a background check after all. And in apartment style living like this you won't get 100% quiet and with the number of buildings on the property I know everyone has a different experience, but overall my building is amazing. I have had the rude neighbors and the ones I share here in my building are pretty great. Sure sometimes the kids are a little loud and it can be a little annoying but they are kids, and after 10pm there are minimal noise issues around here. And I would have no problem asking my neighbors to keep it down a bit first before flipping out. The pool was broken and they sent out a vote on what WE wanted to do about it. They didn't just wake up and decide to take the pool away. And either way it would cost us, it was just a matter of what we were willing to put forth. It obviously cost more to fix it then it did to turn it into a sundeck. People have been asking about building garages so they did it...there are obviously going to be people upset about the spots lost however we have one ASSIGNED parking spot and then you get to park in one of the reserved spots as well as part of your lease, so that is still 2 parking spots per apartment that we did not lose. Sometimes the majority rules on decisions like this. As far as the tennis courts, I never saw anyone playing on them and I am sure Greenfield has several parks with courts. In my area of the apartment grounds I have NEVER almost hit a child. People outside socializing is not a bad thing. In fact they encourage it with grills and picnic tables all around! I have never had a problem with my neighbors, they are always respectful after 10pm with the noise. I do not blame the apartment for noise from children and families, that is things you run into in apartment living. As far as the people who walk in circles, I have never felt unsafe from them, they are just out taking a walk and I see nothing wrong with that...It is called exercise and maybe people shouldn't be so stereotypical and maybe you wouldn't "feel unsafe". And if people are getting memos on their doorstep their neighbors probably complained on them. In my building there are 3 of us who put the trash bags in the hallway for a little while before we take them out and none of us have complained or gotten "memos" but if you are leaving them there for a while then you deserve the memo you receive. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions obviously, and I am not here to sway anyone one way or another. But it would be unfair to let a few bad apples destroy the bunch.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and stay far, far away from this apartment complex. The previous residents of this complex, myself included, are all getting the memo very quickly that there are so many better places to live in the area then Tuckaway Heights. Of all the apartment complexes Ive lived in, even as a college student, this one was the noisiest, and frankly the worst one as far as clientele. The management company continues to take away major amenities such as the swimming pool, the tennis courts, and parking spots, and they INCREASE the rent. It does not make ANY logical sense. The main office manager who works at Tuckaway Heights is always so rude when I would call or stop in with questions and/or complaints. We had so many issues over the last year with noisey neighbors and children/people running around in the parking lot. I nearly called the police several times (and I should have, honestly) because in the entire community, there is a huge loitering problem. There are sometimes upwards of 15-20 people congregating in the parking lots and on the lawn, and the office staff refuses to do anything to regulate it. At night, the members who lived in the Tuckaway community would walk around the complex in circles, even after dark, and sometimes into the early hours of the morning, and I would be afraid to walk to my car alone. Also, it makes it really difficult to drive to your apartment building when you are constantly either dodging children or having to deal with adults walking around in the parking lot and oddly enough, they just stop and stare at you rather than move out of the way! Our best friends lived in another 2 bedroom apartment in another building just like ours. Same type of unit as well. They had a cat and paid $815.00/month. We were being charged $860.00/month and we didnt have ANY pets! We asked the office about why our rent would be higher than theirs, and they said oh they are probably lying, thats not true, we dont have any units for $815/mo and trust me, I believe my friends over this lazy inconsiderate office management staff! Also, they recently decided to add garages to the community which take up many of the already limited parking spaces. It makes the grounds VERY congested! Honestly, there were more bad things about living at this complex than good things. Bad should never outweigh the good. If you decide to rent here, youve been warned. Beware.

My oh my have things changed around here.... This used to be a great place to live, but many things have gone downhill, quickly. 1) The clientele base: It appears that what seemed like stricter policies to apply and reside at Tuckaway has gone out the window to stuff their buildings. And I mean literally stuffed them. At one point we were living above a two-bedroom apartment that occupied AT LEAST 3 adults, and 3 children. How is this even allowed? Imagine the noise! Constant banging (to the point where our walls ABOVE THEM shook), loud music, slamming doors, screaming, etc etc etc. Resident and neighbor quality took a nose-dive, with buildings being much noisier, derelict vehicles parked in the parking lots (some FILLED with junk), people parking like jerks, garbage on the premises, I could go on and on. The neighbors next to us constantly swore and screamed at their small children. Three different units in our building apparently were quite chummy, and constantly congregated in the hall, leaving their doors open and their kids running wild like we were living in some kind of college dorm.Management did nothing besides write notes to these people. Lot of good that did. 2) Speaking of kids, this place has become a daycare/zoo. Kids run rampant in the parking lots. Biking, scootering, running, playing in and around dumpsters and construction... On a daily basis I would nearly hit a small child while driving to or from work, because the residents treat the parking lot like a playground. Someone is going to get killed in these parking lots. I've had kids playing ON and around my car, with their parent standing right there, while their child beat on my bumper. Again, no help from management. "Well do you know what building they are in?" I even called them one time, while the office was open, when at least 6-7 adults and 6 children were just standing in the middle of the parking lot, and said "come on out if you want to see the offending parties" and nothing. Just another note stuck on our mailboxes. 3) The entitled management: Not naming names, but the apartment management really needs to get off of their high-horses. Besides Amber, the rest of the staff consistently made me feel as if I was bothering them, and would flat out ignore you if there was a new applicant present. Not sure about the opinion of anyone reading this, but I would think a long-time, 6 year resident should take priority over a random walk-in. And on top of all that, they would not actually be proactive and FIX any problems, outside of leaving notes on the mailboxes. Yet I would do something absolutely HORRIBLE like leave a garbage bag out in the hall for an hour (eye-roll) or prop the door open WHILE WE WERE MOVING, and I'd get a threatening note left at my door the next day. 4) Tuckaway? Try TAKEAWAY. The last 3 years of living there, we lost a swimming pool, the tennis courts, and a TON of parking spaces (replaced with eye-sore garages). Surely, losing these big-ticket amenities would make our rent go down, right? NOPE. Try having it go up, repeatedly, every year I've been there. Bad bad clientele, losing out on amenities while paying MORE for rent, feeling like I am in a daycare, entitled management... the list goes on and on. I would give this place 1-star, but the maintenance crew is top-notch, and get anything and everything fixed same-day. If it weren't for those guys, this would be a 1-star review.

Hands down - Best apartments to live in for the price in the the Milwaukee area. We lived there for over 4 years and have had nothing short of a great experience. The staff and maintenance techs are all very friendly and reasonable to work with and the apartment itself is in overall great condition. The effort and detail put into the care of the grounds really made the overall experience of living at the location that much more inviting. *****Highly recommended all around.
