When I signed last year (really early), I signed a better rate guarantee as my special! I thought what a RELIEF!. Ummm not. Currently the rate is $100 cheaper a month than what I signed for, but I am unable to get that rate bc of one word in the document. The domain management plays games and Im not sure what the definition of a scam is, but the domain has to be listed. Sooo proceed with caution.

I lived here for my senior year of college. It's a short distance from campus which is really nice. There is a shuttle that takes you back and forth but numerous times throughout this year the shuttle would randomly break down, leaving people stranded on campus and forced to either wait until it was fixed (which you never knew how long it would take) or you'd have to buy an uber home. Also- my room had a huge bug problem. I called maintenance 5 times and i still had so many ants and spiders in my room, specifically my shower. In the winter they don't do anything about ice in the parking lot so be warned that you're probably going to slip and fall. I did like the gym and the free starbucks machine. They do a lot of free food events too. I'd say my impression of the domain was decent

My boyfriend and his roommate moved out months ago, guess what! Still paying a ridiculous amount of money for the apartment! There is never any parking available, when he moved in his apartment was gross as hell. They told us he would only spend 600-650 a month on utilities but guess what? He spends 700-900 a month on rent because they screwed him over. amenities are okay but the pool is always gross, the coffee machine is always out, the workers are mean, the golf room is littered with trash, its really a giant sh-- show!

Lived here for a year, dont plan on watching cable as the signal goes out all the time during all times of the day especially at night and even more during rain/storms. The rooms are nice; living room space is nice too, kitchen pretty nice, cupboards have water circles in most of them the cabinets are fine, however most of my draws were kind of broken. Having maintenance done is a pain. The worst part for me was you get about 8 minutes of hot water for a shower. As for washing machine the polarities were reversed and the Hot was cold and the Cold was hot which sketched me out a lot. Also caused me to shrink and ruin a bunch of clothes. The dryer spews lint everywhere out the back and gets caught in the air filter. The buses are packed the first month of school and the morning classes stay packed be prepared to stand. The buses route ends at 6:30 so all those 8-9pm exams your pretty screwed if you dont own a car and drive to your exam. Highly recommend owning a car if you decide to live here. Cant complain about the WiFi its pretty good, though not as good as on campus apartments but still no issues. Lastly the entertainment area is a giant facade TVs didnt work the entire year I was their. Only positives I got were the pool, the golf simulator and the nightly bus routes (Thursday-Sunday) till 2am that was clutch!

Currently a resident and overall very satisfied with my living situation. The free coffee/tea is always nice to have, the exercise room is one of the better ones you'll find at an apartment complex, the pool is fantastic, and the shuttle to campus is both convenient and a gas saver. My only serious issue is that the overage fees on utilities can be pretty absurd, me and my one roommate were charged $300 between us for one month even when one of us was gone half the month and the thermostat was only set at 67-70. Would recommend to any student wanting to live relatively close to campus.

The Domain is nice but I feel like they could try harder for how much you pay. For example...when you tour they try to tell you the fridge is always stocked in the kitchen area of the clubhouse and it NEVER is. Also, when you tour they pull you in by showing you all these nice amenities that dont work half the time. Also the internet is hit or miss and the cable in the bedrooms is pretty bad.

I have no major complaint until I get my utility bill this winter. I was told that there is usually no overage on utility or it is as small as 5$ to 10$. I had to pay $235 this months for utility while the room temperature was on 68-70. I told the management, they obviously did not care. I had previously heard from other residents that the staff is not very responsible. I only wish when I was signing the contract they would not misinform me. The heating system is all electricity, so no surprise :(

Don't live here! No salt in winter, icy sidewalks and parking lot, no concern for residents. Managers take days off and make themselves unavailable to tend to ice and snow situations. Employees unable to call for salt truck. Pay for permitted parking but someone else always parks there and they do nothing. Towing company takes over an hour to get there to remove the other person's car. Preset thermostat at 70 in the winter so if you want to save money and keep yours at 68, you can't. You just get hit with a HUGE overage on your electric bill. Lease is up at the end of July and we can't wait to get out of here.

My roommates and me love living here!! It's only a 5-7 minute drive to campus and there's always fun stuff going on that the residents can do! If you have any problems in the apartment, maintenance is literally there within 24 hours! The gym is never too packed, the Starbucks machine is always coming in handy, and the front desk is always helpful! We also LOVE how spacious it is compared to other apartments in columbia! Even the balcony is bis. We honestly love this place and are highly considering re-signing :)

This place is amazing. The place looks so nice, it looks like a resort! They have so MANY amenities! There is a theater, a large computer lab and TWO fitness areas. This place is the best bang for your buck when you take into account amenities, location, and overall aesthetic of your apartment. I am not sure why this gets such a bad name. The management and employees work hard and they really do their best to help you, and they are really fun to talk to at the front desk. The negative reviews here are on petty problems that people may not understand take time to fix. I have never had a problem with the staff, I believe is because I do not go in the office looking to pick a fight. The employees explain everything to me or they find me an answer. The place is great, and the staff really tries to help you out. I love living here!

The Domain is an awesome place to live for students. If you're looking for spacious housing that provides a comforting atmosphere while still offering amenities like a giant pool and fire pit, then the Domain is the way to go. The clubhouse and community grounds are always kept clean. Management does everything to keep us happy at the Domain which includes a great maintenance crew and very helpful front desk employees. The shuttle service always does a fantastic job of getting us students to where we need to be on time. I love it here!

I signed at the Domain last year with high expectations for the lifestyle they were offering at their property, and I do not regret my decision whatsoever. The Domain has met (and exceeded) my expectations in every way I can think of. Have a maintenance request? Top notch maintenance workers take care of it in a timely fashion. Need a ride to campus for classes? They have a shuttle every thirty minutes that drops off at the heart of campus. Have any other possible complaints or concerns? Drop by the clubhouse front desk and have a chat with one of the amazing management staff or desk workers and have it resolved for you. I've been through the rigmarole of finding an apartment, I know how the game goes. You try to find an affordable place that will meet your needs not only as a student, but also as a person. If you want to have a great place to study as well as to relax and enjoy your college years, look no further. The Domain got my renewal, and I would highly recommend you take a look into living here as well. Other places offer satisfaction, but this place delivers it.

I have lived here the past month and I have loved every minute of it. The General Manager, Residential Director, and Leasing Manager has made living here so easy. They have definitely made my experience here a lot better then I could have ever imagined. If I could give it 10 stars I would!! The rooms are spacious and the amenities provided are excellent. Definitely going to renew my lease for next year. After listening around, people who have settled for other apartments are now wishing that they signed a lease with domain instead because they hear all of the positive things about it. Not to mention all of the events put on by the incredibly nice staff with tons of free food! Taco Tuesdays, Grocery Bingo, Bread Making Classes, Starbucks machine, tanning bed, movie theatre, massive pool. You name it, they have it. If I had to choose between The Domain, The Lodge, The Den, Brookside, Aspen Heights, or living in house around campus, I would choose The Domain. Hands Down

Cant rave enough about all the helpful, friendly faces working there. Just a very fun atmosphere to live around. Dont even get me started on the pool! Absolutely beautiful. ATTENTION PARENTS: Please take the time to read my review, as it should be considered when deciding where your son or daughter live. Here at the domain things look really nice when you are visiting, but once you move in and the dust settles you realize what a mistake you have made by signing here. Things are on a steady decline from move in day until January the following year (not 6 months after you move in, 18 months later) The property "manager" Tracy Ball (although I have no idea what she actually manages...it appears to be nothing) is the sour apple that has ruined the entire bunch. I've overheard numerous leasing agents complaining about her on the bus. I can't say enough bad things about her. It's a shame that Tracy Ball's logic works like this: "Leave something broken for as long as possible until residents start to complain, then instead of replacing the amminity we will simply remove it to save budget." Also she has no clue how to treat electronic equipment properly, so don't think that you will ever be able to watch an enjoyable movie in the theater. The bulb gets left on all day typically for show (gotta sign new lease!) so the bulb is so washed out its a joke. This is not to mention that 3 out of the 4 flat screen TV's throughout the clubhouse are inoperable because of wiring issues. I told Tracy that the TV's did not work and she informed me that she was was aware of the wiring issue. She was more concerned to inform me that the TV's were however not "broken". Sorry but if you can't walk in and use something I would consider it inoperable and hence broken or "broke down" at the time. But cleaver diversion tactic. Didn't steer me away from the issue that you have had 3 TV's hanging in the clubhouse that serve no greater function than a black painting...for 8 months. It isn't my fault you thought it would be cool to get fancy touch pads to control the TV's. When you found out they didn't work that is when you replace them with something that does. Do not be fooled by TRACY BALL and her lies. Do not let your kids move here regardless of how "nice" they tell you it is. Because it's all a facade! Things break and remain broken until completely removed years later. However, on the other hand Erica and her maintenance team are awesome! Lived here for a year and wouldn't recommend it. It's nice and has a nice pool which catches your attention at first, but in reality it's not the best place to live. I was told I would be paired with roommates based on similarities in personality and schedules, which the office staff was supposed to look into. Instead, the roommates I was paired with couldn't have been more opposite than me. The office staff completely disregarded our compatibility, and this caused a series of roommate problems throughout the semester. In addition, it's way too far from campus and downtown and is overall just inconvenient. The WiFi only,works half the time so don't expect to be able to get things done. Essentially, living at the domain is not worth the money.

The apartment itself, pool, and amenities are great. However, my time here has been extremely below average. Staff and maintenance are unorganized and unsympathetic. My room was mistakenly vacated while I was at work. I was left with a mess to sort through in the middle of the week and all my stuff was in trash bags and several things were destroyed. I was only reimbursed with only a $200 wal-mart gift card. This could have easily been avoided. Clearly someone lived there and they did not try to contact my roommates or I about the confusion. My roommates and I went a month without a microwave after multiple maintenance requests. The heating and cooling system is not well regulated. My room is at least 10 degrees above the thermostat reading in the summer and 10 degrees below the reading in the winter. Maintenance could not find a solution. The shuttle is great and always on time, which is one of the main reasons why I still live here.

I was a resident at the Domain from 8/1/16 - 6/16/17 and I loved living here! The apartments are nice and are a great size. The management are amazing and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Any maintenance request I had got taken care of same day or next day. The amenities are amazing, clean and I loved the FREE PRINTING! I would absolutely live here again, the only thing you need to be careful about is your utility use because it is pretty easy to go over on you allotted amount.

Love the domain. I just resigned for next year! Utilize those free starbucks hot chocolates in the lobby!! The hammocks are by far the best part of the pool and the trash pick up is amazing! I wish the hallways didn't look so trashy sometimes, but to not have to worry to take the garbage out, I'll take that compromise any day! I wish they could somehow figure out to allow us no overages for electricity usage. some other apartment complexes have the all inclusive, and I wish they could get that here! But overall, I am in love with this place!! I will be sad to leave when I graduate.

I was the first person to move into my 2 bedroom apartment at The Domain and I was very pleased with what the apartment complex had to offer. I started paying $650 my first year and rent went up $10-15 the next year, and rent continues to go up which may drive some people away, and that's understandable. The amenities are awesome...my closet/bathroom were HUGE and well worth the price. Brand new appliances, tv, Apple tv, etc were awesome. I heard some bad things about a couple of the buildings (structural damage, cracks, etc) so make sure you ask about that before moving in. Only reason why The Domain didn't get 5 stars was because management is a little iffy...90% of the time the part-timers at the front desk don't know the answer to your question and have to contact someone else for you. Utilities got a little out of control over the winter when the heat was running and my roommate and I were consistently paying $40-50 extra for 3-4 months. The bonfire pit frequently needed maintenance or was broke. Overall, The Domain was worth it and I enjoyed my two years there. The shuttle and night shuttle to campus/downtown was awesome, brand new, upgraded apartments were great and the amenities like the pool and clubhouse were great. Highly recommended.

I was going to live there with my friend but his cat has diabetes and they would not let him administer the diabetes shots in public because it would "make the residents feel uncomfortable". Not to mention the management is rude and made me feel super awkward when they gave me a tour.
