My experience living in this complex has been horrid to say the least. Every single person in the office is unprofessional and whenever I've had a complaint they immediately get an attitude and act like it's not their problem to fix. Any positive review that you see on here likely stemmed from a promotion that they ran that entailed posting a review and being entered in a contest to win a gift card. The day I moved in there were old food containers in the kitchen from what I'm assuming was from the maintenance people who worked to clean the apartment prior to move in. Not the best first impression of my new home. Then, the toilet hadn't been properly installed. Actually, it wasn't installed at all and was sitting in my bathtub!! I told the office about the mess in the kitchen and the toilet not being installed and they eventually sent out maintenance to fix my toilet. Water here has been a constant issue from not being able to maintain temperature to the office completely shutting it off for the whole day to do repairs. They say that they are working to fix the water pipe issue, however, that comes with the water being turned off throughout the whole property at least once (sometimes twice a week). I understand that sometimes it's necessary to turn the water off to do adequate repairs but more times than not our water is shut off with no notice whatsoever. Don't try calling the office though because they won't answer. The entrance gate was broken for the first few months that I lived here and even now that it's fixed (sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't) the apartment complex doesn't feel safe. Also, parking here was great for the first few months then they made designated visitor spots and gave all residents stickers for their cars. One would think this would fix the parking issue (not that there was one) but somehow it makes it harder to find parking. Halfway through my lease, my rent was increased due to fees that had not been previously billed to me due to the negligence of the office staff. I understand that in my lease, I signed an agreement saying that I'll pay the necessary fees that come with living there, but I have also worked in the customer service industry long enough to know to how to treat customers or in their case residents.It is abundantly clear that no one in the office cares about Beacon Hill apartment complex or its residents. The location is great (about a 15 minute drive to uptown Charlotte) and the price is decent but please don't let that deter you from the fact that this is a horribly run apartment complex

No one ever answers the phones and they keep failing to give notices the water won't be working I'm getting really annoyed because they are suppost to notify US first and this issue seems to be every week or other week that I've lived here just about. I've been losing food currently in my fridge for the second time and they told me almost a week ago they would order me a new fridge and they didnt until just yesterday... All my foods ruined and they don't care about their resident's enough to pay back what was lost without a "receipt". Its a nice location, I'm comfortable here besides the few recurring issues.

That end of South Blvd is a real eyesore overall, but this is a ok starter rental, but overall I would just look elsewhere if I had the chance to do it all over again. there are several other complexs in a 3 mile radius that are more reasonable price wise and also newer. It isnt a great place but by far not a terrible one.

This place is a dump! Nobody should consider living here! They can not seem to get there issue with their outdated plumbing fixed. in addition when it is working the hot water does not work. Second, My girlfriends car got broken into and they tried to steal the tires off the property managers car. Its a gated community, but it is far from safe! They let anybody on the premises. My advice to anybody looking for a place to stay or currently living there. Leave and run fast as you can. Also the staff is rude! I am pretty sure any positive posts you see on this place are done by the faculty.

One star is far too much to give this place. The office staff is worthless they are rude, unprofessional, and neglectful. Good luck getting them to answer the phone if you try calling them. They tack on extra fees to your lease halfway through your lease. Water is a constant issue here. The office claims they are trying to fix the problem but that comes with them turning off the water with or without notice (most of time its without notice). Also, when the water is on, there is a good chance the warm water will turn scalding hot halfway through your shower and burn you. Don't try informing the office though because they won't answer their phone and if they do answer they flat out don't care. ***Please do not move here!! Its not worth being treated like garbage by the office staff.

Please do not move here under any circumstances. The office staff is rude, unprofessional and neglectful. For the last 7 months I have paid the same price in rent only to wake up this morning to pay my rent and find out that I now owe more every month due to fees that I was never told about and they forgot to charge to me. I dont believe that I should have to pay more every month due to their negligence. If the complex was run by a decent company, they would honor the price Ive been paying. Definitely will not be renewing my lease. It is a shame that this apartment complex is so poorly run because the apartment itself is great and the location is desirable. Hopefully they will learn how to treat their residents in the future.

While the apartments are located in a very convenient spot and the complex is well maintained, the management and organization style of the leasing office is atrocious. Be very careful and be sure to pay attention when you have packages being delivered, on multiple occasions we have had packages arrive to the leasing office and then were never informed of their arrival. Some packages even sat for multiple weeks. They will claim it is a courtesy that they even accept the packages into the office. However, they will not accept the responsibility of following through on making sure that your belongings will arrive safely and on time. After talking to a few of the other tenants, we have come to the discovery that we are not alone when it comes to packages not being delivered. They can repaint the apartment buildings, and remodel the complex but if the management is broken then you have to ask yourself if it is even worth living here.

I've enjoyed these past few months at Beacon Hill. I have no complaints. The neighborhood is clean, quiet, and safe. The traffic is bad at certain times because its on South Blvd, but aside from that the location is great. 15-20 minutes from uptown and the airport, within walking distance of Tyvola Station, and a reasonable distance from different shopping options. The complex has a gym that closes when the office does, but Fitness Connection is literally right next door. The staff has always been friendly to me. My neighbors are friendly as well. Theres pros and cons to any place you live, but overall I recommend Beacon Hill to anyone! 12/16/17

Must say the relocating to a new area can be nerve wracking, but looking for an apartment is off the charts. Looked for months for a place prior to checking out Beacon Hill Apartments. Being new to Charlotte I was looking for housing that was not only affordable but close enough to work. After traveling for years long miles I was ready for a short commute. I came to Beacon Hill Apartments seeking information and actually came back several times just to observe the property and different times of day. The location was fabulous, gated, only 2.9 miles from work, nearby restaurants, shopping venues, Lynx light rail, bus stops, etc., Think I've found a place to call home for a season. There's also an on-site fitness and business center along with laundry room. I couldn't have made a better decision. Even down to repairs, they are made in a timely manner. I had an issue upon moving in, but when I reached out to the office staff especially the manager matters were taken care of.

I love beacon hill I have lived here since 2009 and wouldn't want to live any place else. I have seen a lot of staff come and go some were extremely rude and unprofessional. But I have to be honest new management has been pretty amazing. A few weeks ago I had a maintenance request and the worker was sent out not even a hour later. Then a few months ago the roof was leaking they made sure it was fixed right away. I am a satisfied resident and hope to be for years to come.

Ive live here since Aug 2017 and havent had any bad experiences. The office staff are always nice and willing to help with whatever. I had a issue with my dishwasher and the maintenance men were on top of it the next day. The location is great. Youre not far from restaurants, shopping, 77,485 and 85 and of course you have CATS AND Lynx stops close by too. My apartments is nice and cozy and i plan to renew my lease to a bigger apartment size! Im glad i chose Beacon Hill Apartments!

4 months(may-aug) withoutA/C was the reason why I had to leave beacon hill. Instead of replacing the the whole A/C unit, they would just patch it up over 10 times for it to break down within the next two days. We had to get a portable A/C which made it easier for water bugs and centipede to get into our apartment. Another reason was an issue with my partners car getting hit $500 worth of damage but they couldn't do anything about. Why have a gated community but no cameras in the parking lot? Besides all of that I gave beacon hill 3 stars because the apartments are well insulated. You do not hear your neighbors through the walls at ALL. That's a big plus for me

When I first moved here under old management it was great I felt welcomed and like they actually cared about the tenants. Upon new management arrival thats when everything went down hill. They are so unbelievably inconsiderate when it comes to upgrading the buildings, they build a park for dogs instead of a park for the many of children that live in the complex. There is this one female that works the front that has the worst nice nasty attitude I have ever had an encounter with in my life, she will for sure be the reason why I will NOT renew my lease at beacon hill. Its sad how much my experience here has changed drastically but if I can give out any advice for people looking at this place is look the other way!!!!!!!!

I moved here July of this year right when the management was changing over. From my experience, this management group is far better than the one I dealt with when inquiring about my apartment. The grounds are well kept and it is obvious that there are major improvements happening to the exterior of the apartments. Price is good considering the location and I have heard very little noise from my neighbors which is a huge plus for me since I often work over night shifts! My only complaint would be that when I first moved in it took maintenance a few tries to fix what seemed to be a small issue with my washer connection. Since then nothing has gone wrong and I love living here!

The leasing agents in the office are VERY rude and unprofessional. they recently added chargers to my account that are unexplainable and I was never notified by these rude agents by email nor letter that our rent was more than what we were told by previous agents. I hate living here now and planning on breaking my lease soon... I dont reccomend this complex to anyone

I've lived here for about a year. Originally signing our lease with Drucker and Falk. Then it was great. I'd put in an order online for a maintenance request and it would be at minimum responded to that day. Then Bridge bought out the apartments right around when our lease was to expire. When I went to the office and specifically asked for renewal information I was shooed away with the promise of "the information will be posted on your door" I received nothing. I had to pester them over and over again to even get this and they tried to charge me month to month because we never got our renewal papers! I had to basically peg down an office worker and make sure our paper work was turned in. I work 9-5 on a short day during the weekdays, but apparently asking for someone to stay 15 minutes so I can talk to someone about our renewal info is just too much to ask for. I have to waste my time to make sure that they are doing their job.. Added complaint, the dumpsters are at their most disgusting state since this company has taken over. If Bridge port is still owner of this apartment complex by the end of this lease, then I'm out.

I used to love this place until new management. I have lived her for 3 year, it was a quiet area. When I first moved in the paint in my apartment was new, however over time I've noticed that this complex has a serious mold problem which doesn't help with my sinus issues. The apartment also has horrible window and door sealing which allows bugs, spiders and roaches to come into your apartment. Save yourself the trouble, Get out if you live here and DO NOT Rent Here if you are thinking about it! You can't say no-one warned you. My lease is over in October 2017. I will leave and won't look back!

They will not answer the office phone, my fridge has been out and they have taken weeks to return my calls to fix it. BRIDGE is the name of the property management company. DO NOT live in their properties. ALSO, they try to charge you fees that you do not owe. The staff is extremely RUDE. I used to love it when this was owned by the previous Drucker and Faulk, but now it is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I lived here for 3 years, and wouldn't recommend this complex to anyone. I'm going to make a list of my experience at Beacon Hill: Water is free, but it's constantly off Paper thin walls, so you can easily here your neighbors above, below, and beside you Some neighbors were belligerent, very disruptive, having police intervene in various altercations they've had with their significant other Management seem to have never kept any documents. It became our word against theirs. There was even an issue where they tried to say we couldn't move out, even once our lease was up, because they lost our document stating we weren't renewing our lease. From what I know, management is new now, so I'm not sure how they are. Gate is constantly broke. Not many, and not the best amenities. Unnecessary increase in rent when maintenance issues aren't properly taken care of. They increase rent without fixing issues. Laundry room washer and dryers don't always work properly. The one pro to living here was the location in regards to Charlotte, but that's it.

The star goes to the apartment itself since its nice and cozy but the fact that we had a horrible move-in experience no thanks to Andrea and the office staff for not telling us initially a key important part upon us signing our contract, that led us stranded outside of the apartment with our moving truck & no other place to go because they wouldn't give it to us at the very last minute. I moved to these apartments from another state after moving for work and lived here for one year. I chose them mainly because of the price for a renovated 1-bedroom and the location, including the Lightrail station across the street, walking distance to grocery stores, and 1-mile drive to I-77. Because of these things, it was a comfortable apartment for my needs. The ladies in the front office, including Andrea and Gisela, were always nice and easy to talk to. I had no logistical problems upon move-in or move-out. However, and this is a big "however", the apartments are old, having built in the 80s if I am not mistaken. This age shows in the building structure and design (180-degree-turn stairs, no exhaust fan in bathrooms, etc.). Floor and wall condition was the most obvious to me, as I was able to hear my upstairs neighbors walking lightly over every creak and moan of the ceiling and the windows sometimes let through water in heavy downpours. Water was turned off three times a month for a day a piece almost like clockwork for "continued maintenance" for a problem that it seemed they could not fix properly. Maintenance was not very timely in work requests, and even when they did show up they usually did a job 50% of the way through and had to be called back through another request. All in all, I was comfortable here for a year but eventually realized that I need a newer apartment building in a quieter area. Talk to Gisela in the front office and she will always be willing to help out with any issue.

If you expect any attention from management don't rent here. They do not answer emails, they do not respond to complaints, whether you call, email, or go in person. I couldn't even get them to respond when I needed to pay the pet deposit. Do you not want my $300? Because I will gladly keep it. Your packages will be left unlocked in the front lobby for days. Your water will be completely turned off with NO notice for HOURS at a time, sometimes overnight. And we're talking once a month people. And forget about that front gate because they NEVER close it. Drucker and Falk might be better than the last management team from Bell Partners, but they're just the lesser of two evils. Also, I am constantly taking chicken bones away from my dog on walks. Why are their chicken bones strewn throughout the neighborhood? I don't know but watch your pup if you choose to live here. I do NOT recommend it.

Bed bugs! i just moved in 7 days ago and now i am moving out, this place is infested with bed bugs the apartment is very nice looking but it has flaws the water will flash on and off hot/cold its very annoying as you are taking a warm shower all the sudden it will go either extremely hot or ice cold i am having to get rid of some stuff as i do not want to take these f**kers with me. they will tow your car for the smallest reasons..... i could keep going on and on. hate this place. glad am moving out.

These apartments aren't very well built, and the sound-proofing stinks... I heard my downstairs neighbor's bass nonstop. The staff have always been very nice, as well... but the noise level was just too much for me. It was a good first apartment for a girl right out of college, but it's time to move on. I'd like to live in a safer area.

We have lived here for less than 1 year and we have had a tire stolen off our vehicle and two guys attempted to steal the vehicle itself last week (also the same night another vehicle on the property was stolen). There have been numerous vehicles stolen, vandalized or broken into on this property since we moved in. Also lazy residents drop trash on the ground beside the dumpster when there is plenty of room inside the dumpster. The trash is not the fault of management because they hire people to pick up trash everyday. The car thief issues are also not the fault of managment because neighbors allow "friends" to use their gate entrance number and leave the walk-in door ajar so just anybody can walk right in. Basically, Beacon Hill is a decent place to live with a few bad features.
