Description

Our luxurious lower-level one-bedroom condos are in the historic Elizabeth neighborhood, known for its trendy boutiques, inviting cafes, and acclaimed restaurants. It is a short walk through tree-lined streets to Independence Park and the greenway trails. Features include a fully equipped kitchen, ultra-fast Wi-Fi, Hulu + Live TV, and in-unit washer & dryer. There is on-site parking, and you are only a two-block walk to the Streetcar, with direct access to Plaza Midwood and Novant Hospital.
The space
You’re booking one of eight lower-level units in our building. Each features a king bedroom, one bathroom, and the same great amenities. While layouts are consistent, decor will vary from unit to unit.
The Home Collection provides all the comforts of home, with unmatched design and hospitality. We own over 40 different residences all within 2 miles of downtown Charlotte! Founded by a third-generation Charlottean, our mission is to give you an authentic Charlotte experience and offer a range of accommodations, including the most deluxe furnished residences in Charlotte. Welcome home! We offer discounts for long-term stays, so please ask.

If you are traveling with a dog, please read our pet policy below.
Relax in the spacious living room featuring a large, upholstered sofa and a flatscreen television with streaming and Live TV. Enjoy the artwork by local artist Nico Amortegui, well-known for large-scale paintings and installations throughout NC and the Smithsonian.
We've maintained the character of this historic 1920s building while completely updating and renovating the interior. The first-floor condos have large double-hung windows that let in an abundance of light in all the rooms. Additionally, the original refinished hardwoods, bathroom tile, and two-panel doors provide the charm so often absent in new construction.
The recently renovated kitchen features stainless appliances and is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, etc. The adjacent dining room comfortably seats four with all the place settings. Ample storage in the apartment makes it ideal for long-term guests.
A desk and ultra-fast Wi-Fi enable business travelers to stay plugged into their busy schedules.
The bedroom has a king-sized bed with a television and a generous closet, which includes plenty of clothes hangers, an iron, and an ironing board. Furnishings may vary slightly from photographs as we periodically update. The bathroom has modern bath fixtures and tiled walls and floor. It is spotless and features plush towels. A starter supply of Nest bath products and detergents is included in our amenity package.
Situated in historic Elizabeth, our residence is conveniently located a few steps from Hawthorne Avenue, the heart of Charlotte’s health care district. Plaza Midwood and Uptown are a short ride away on the streetcar. Located in the stately Milton apartment building, this recently refurbished first-floor condo is in the desirable and walkable Elizabeth neighborhood. This incredibly safe community provides an ideal place for walking or jogging and is just a short stroll from Charlotte’s most vibrant nightlife.
Within a half mile walking distance are more than 40 locally owned 40 restaurants (Italian, Mexican, Cajun, and Mediterranean). For breakfast, walk past Starbucks and try Central Coffee or Villani’s Bakery. Our favorite full-service spots include Customshop (local cuisine), Cajun Queen (Louisiana soul food), and Intermezzo (Italian). If you are looking for local gems, check out The People’s Market, Menya Durama (Ramen), and Moo & Brew (burgers). My favorite BBQ joint is Midwood Smokehouse (but this is a touchy subject in the crossroads of BBQ). Have a beer at Legion Brewery, a drink at the infamous Thirsty Beaver (Mick Jagger’s favorite spot), or a cocktail at the Crunkleton.
On the ‘Plaza Piazza,’ you will find many locally owned shops including antiques, fine gifts, wines, and bespoke clothing for men and women. Elizabeth is also a neighborhood with a vibrant nightlife. If you’re looking for an exciting place to stay in Charlotte, you’ve come to the right place.
Just down the street is Independence Park, Charlotte’s oldest park. This newly renovated park has miles of wide sidewalks, towering trees, a playground, picnic areas, and garden respites. Charlotte’s renowned greenway is less than half a mile away. From there, you can bike, run, or walk along the 30 miles of trails.
The parks and open walking spaces make the area perfect for those with a furry friend. Well-behaved, quiet pets are allowed in most of our properties with a pet fee. Many of our neighborhood restaurants have patios that welcome dogs.
We love hosting guests for both short and long-term stays. So, whether you are here for business, pleasure, or visiting someone at either Atrium or Novant Hospitals, our goal for you is to feel at home during your stay. We will try hard to accommodate any special requests and are readily available should something come up. We look forward to hosting you. If this residence is not available for your preferred travel dates, please ask.
A workstation is available for rent during your stay. This includes a 32” monitor, wireless keyboard, and mouse.
There is ample on-site parking next to our building.

The entire apartment is yours for your stay and is accessible via door code.

Established in 1897, Elizabeth is the second oldest streetcar suburb in Charlotte. Given its close proximity to Upton, Elizabeth became one of the most fashionable residential areas in Charlotte in its early days.
Because much of the neighborhood was developed in the early 20th century, Elizabeth's trees have had time to mature. They now form a canopy over most of Elizabeth's residential streets. In addition, Elizabeth is more pedestrian-friendly than most Charlotte neighborhoods, businesses and residences are in close proximity, and most roads have sidewalks.

One of the many advantages of staying in Elizabeth is its unbeatable location. Situated just minutes away from Uptown Charlotte, you'll have easy access to the city's top attractions, cultural landmarks, and exciting entertainment options. Whether you're catching a game at Bank of America Stadium, immersing yourself in art at the Mint Museum, or exploring the vibrant nightlife of the city center, everything is within reach.

Retreat to your delightful accommodation, where comfort and style blend seamlessly. Unwind in the cozy living space, prepare a delicious meal in the fully equipped kitchen, or enjoy a glass of wine on the private patio. Designed with your comfort in mind, your stay offers a tranquil oasis to recharge after a day of exploration.

Experience the captivating allure of Elizabeth, where history meets modernity and where the city's energy intertwines with a sense of tranquility. Book your stay now and discover the unforgettable experiences that await you in this charming neighborhood in the heart of Charlotte.
Getting around
The streetcar to Uptown is a 10 minute walk away. Uber/Lyft are also convenient options, and many bikeshare companies offer inexpensive bikes and scooters.

Impressive stone gateways flank each end of the street, and provide a grand entrance to the neighborhood, developed between 1913 and 1925. A century later, the overwhelming majority of the houses retain their original architectural character, and the street is a designated Historic District.
Our stately building sits on a half-acre of gently sloping land and the large lot provides an ideal place for outdoor entertaining (including a gas grill and Adirondack chairs) or for a game of croquet, and offers unmatched privacy, peace and quiet.
There are four residences in the building, all with screened porches. The upstairs units offer partial skyline views of Uptown Charlotte, and all offer the privacy and seclusion of one of Charlotte's premier streets.
