My two daughters have lived there for two years and have nothing but positive things to say about Notting Hill. From the management to the maintenance crews, the responsiveness is quick and the staff are pleasant. Most recently, the management has been very flexible when one of them had an issue with her move out and extended her an extra week without hassle. The overall atmosphere is the complex is quiet and more family oriented. On the Chapel Hill bus line and convenient to many shops. Well done!

I lived in Nottinghill during 2016-2017, which is a very nice neighborhood, quiet, convenient, and safe. Located at the border of Durham and Chapel hill, you benefit from the best school district in Chapel Hill and commercial convenience of Durham. The best part about Nottinghill is that they have a very friendly management team, which makes you feel so welcomed whenever you step into the leasing office. I would say, they helped me go through those tough times when you first moved to a new place and know nobody there. The diversity of neighbors in Nottinghill is also why it is so attractive. I sometimes feel it is like a little United Nation since you have neighbors from around the world who is eager to make friends. I love the nature, and the people here

My wife and son and I moved in August and it's been the best experience ever!!! The management staff are amazing. The apartment are wonderfully spacious. The property is so well kept. We feel so lucky to have found such a amazing place.

I have lived here for years and loved it. The community is typically quite, very safe, and friendly. My neighbors have been wonderful (with very few exceptions). Maintenance issues are minimal and resolved within 24 hours. Overall, the management and maintenance team are made up of great people who work hard to make Notting Hill a welcoming community for their residents. There are two main things that I have loved about Notting Hill: The convenience: - Notting Hill is on the (free) bus line to Chapel Hill and you always know when to expect the bus with the NextBus app - Notting Hill is right on the border of Durham and Chapel Hill with easy access to 15/501 and I-40 (but tucked away so you dont hear any traffic noise) - Notting Hill is within minutes of grocery stores, restaurants, shopping malls, etc. The amenities: - I am not a huge coffee fan but it is nice to have access to the leasing office for free tea or hot chocolate Monday through Saturday. - The pool is extremely peaceful and idyllic. This is especially true when Chapel Hill/Carrboro City schools are still in session, but even over the summer due to the management teams kid: parent ratio rule that prevent the antics and noise from getting out of hand if when you are just looking for a relaxing day by the pool. - The business center/printing as a graduate student I found this to be a life saver feature of Notting Hill. Is it just me, or does your printer breakdown or run out of ink whenever you have a deadline? Honestly, if I could pick Notting Hill up and move it with me to my next location I would. This is a great place to call home!

Here's an honest review: The apartment managers are nice and they get things done. However, if you have a pet or you are afraid of black mold and slime you should definitely consider seeking another management company. There are far better properties in the area for the price and I speak from years of experience. Summary of my stay: I cleaned the black mold in my apartment on a daily basis. It was everywhere in the bathroom and highly unmanageable. I ended up paying the fees to terminate my lease early due to health concerns. Then!!!!, despite my paying a huge pet deposit AND monthly pet rent Bell immeadiatly issued a collection agency to threaten to ruin my credit if I didn't pay a $280 pet fee for carpet "sealer" and "pet urine damages." The funny part of this is that my dog is crate trained and never once went to the bathroom in the apartment during my short stay at Notting Hill! Plus, the carpets were beyond old to begin with. I've lived in apartments in the area for years without having to deal with this kind of felonious nonsense. What were the pet deposits and rent for anyways? Not to mention, I have a perfectly trained dog with Service and Show lineage. Lastly: Do not live here if you do not like bugs. Notice that the hall lighting is placed directly by your front door (instead of overhead lighting, like any normal place would have...). This means that that you will have a steady stream of roaches, arachnid, and various beetles entering your apartment constantly! I had two very painful, scarring, and long lasting venomous bites from wolf spiders during my short stay at this complex. According to my doctor, the wolf spiders may have hid in my bed at night! In summary; I have never had issues like this in my other apartments. Just go down the road and get a rental without all of the hassle. This place is rediculous.
