We have lived at Eastwind for just a couple months but we have loved it so far. The office staff is so helpful in any issue, little or big. The office is cozy and the pool when it was open looked clean. We had maintenance done for something and the tech was very helpful and friendly and timely. The apartment itself is fairly up to date, and we enjoy the big rooms and beautiful and modern lighting in all the rooms and baths. The only thing is like many people have mentioned, the floor squeaks like crazy upstairs in our room. We do have someones bedroom above our living room in our townhome, but luckily we dont hear too much squeaking. The walls are very thin so we hear neighbors being loud or arguing from time to time, but thats to be expected in any apartment community. Outside the lighting is goodthe particular area isnt the safest in Hilltop and the community is on the main road, but we dont wander around outside at night much either. Overall we have been happy here!

Overall my stay here was good. Its safe and quiet. When I first moved in I had several maintenance issues with my dryer and a/c that were eventually addressed but took longer than I would have liked. The 1 bdrm I had was extremely spacious with an unbeatable rate and the custom closet was absolutely amazing, everyone I know wanted that closet. Something weird though was the flooring, the floors were not flat but uneven to the point where I lost balance sometimes. The general quality was okay, the apartments are older and maybe a bit overpriced for that reason but I dont feel cheated. Besides that, the office staff is absolutely wonderful and did everything in their power to help me no matter the request. Overall Id recommend this complex.

The unprofessional staff here is outstanding and therefore I will never be a resident. . The website had several units listed that met my needs so I called to inquire about a tour. I called several times for four days and before I finally got someone to answer the phone. They never returned my messages. The person who answered the phone explained to me the availability dates weren't ideal for me but I still wanted to take a look. She told me they open at 10:00am on Saturday. So I showed up at 10:00am and the door was locked with a "BRB" on the door. So now I know why they didn't answer the phones during their listed business hours- they just aren't actually in the office during those hours. I left and came back 30-40 minutes later and there was a couple signing a lease. When the leasing agent finally came out she told me the website is wrong and the unit I was interested in is not available. Funny that they didn't tell me that on the phone the day prior. She told me that tours are by appointment only. That was not mentioned the day before either. She did offer to give us a tour of a similar unit once the couple signing their lease was done. While we were still sitting at her desk talking about the unit another couple walked in and she immediately started offering them the same unit she just offered us. Right in front of us. She offered them a tour- didn't tell them they had to wait even though they showed up after us. She obviously wasn't interested in renting to us so we left.

Adriana in the office is awesome and extremely helpful.The girls in the sales shop are great. I had to leave unexpectedly and they helped me where they could to help with the penalties. I recommend the place.

THEY ARE SO UNGODLY RUDE AND NASTY. they say things WAY outside of being professional about people that live on "their property" and they will throw that at you! Its their property, that includes your apartment, what you own, and your vehicles. They're also ignorant when it comes to military protocol during deployment. Live somewhere else. It will be worth it to take some extra searching time rather than deal with these RUDE people. The apartments are okay, not worth the money or inconvience of the staff though. Dealt with 2 maintance workers who seemed very friendly and helpful though. I've lived in better, and I'm glad I've never lived here. Feel bad for my friends who do.

MILITARY FAMILIES PLEASE READ!! There is a reason why this place has a 2 star rating! I wish that I could give this place no stars. It was by far the worst experience in an apartment complex my husband and I have ever lived in. They will suck every last penny from you and threaten a 3rd party lawyer if you question it. The people at the front desk, Adrianna and Laura, have terrible attitudes and will give you 2 different answers depending on who you speak to. They are always on a lunch break and rarely in the office between 11:00am and 3:00pm. They are not understanding when deployment dates are changed, even when you bring a letter of deployment signed by generals. You are required to give a 60 day written notice if the deployment date is changed (even if you don't know about the deployment date 60 days prior)! Maintenance is incredibly slow to repair anything! I was without AC for 4 days before anything was done about it. It took over a month to install the new AC unit too! The parking is awful. You get one assigned space and your car will be towed if you are parked in a visitors spot longer than 72 hours. This can make going on vacations difficult when you have more than 2 vehicles. Oh, make sure that you give a 60 day written notice that you are leaving your apartment BEFORE the date your lease is scheduled to end. If you don't, you will be locked in for 2 months at a time for nearly double your original rate. I hope all of this helps someone avoid the mess that we got ourselves into! PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE! IT IS SO WORTH IT! Upon beginning our lease with this apartment, my husband presented his military orders in order to get the military rate. They made a copy of his orders and put it with his paperwork. They gave us a copy as well. About a month away from our lease ending, we found out that my husbands deployment date was bumped to a much, much closer date. I notified the desk the day that I found out. She told me that there was nothing that she could do. I informed my husband, who was on the boat at the time, and he emailed a letter of deployment to me. I presented that letter and they told me that because it did not have the specific date of deployment that there was nothing that they could do. I told them that for security reasons, they are not allowed to put the specified date. She continued to tell me there was nothing that could be done. Upon the last day of our lease, I went to return the keys and mentioned everything that we had gone through to the other woman at the desk. She told me that if I would have brought all of this to her, that she would have been able to help me but it is too late now. I was very upset and told her how disappointed I was in the customer service that this apartment complex has. When we moved into the apartment, there were damages everywhere. The counter tops had been melted, the carpets were falling apart, the AC does not cool the upstairs of townhome because of the old circulation system that they have, there was poorly patched spots on the wall, the fence in the back was incredibly wobbly, and the doors paint was peeling off. They did repair the paint on all the apartments but they did a sloppy job. You can still see the red paint under the gray that was painted over top. The worst part of all of this, that they are trying to charge us nearly $2000 to repair the carpets even though I have a note signed by maintenance saying that they were scheduled to repair the carpets after we left anyways. Maintenance left me without AC for 4 days (in July!) before they duct taped a window unit onto my window. Once the AC was replaced a month later, they left all the duct tape and extension cord in the house! I wish I had more characters available in this review to describe the rest of my experience. I really hope that this helps someone out there! Good luck on your apartment search! Avoid this awful place!
