With just under 400,000 people, Tulsa is the second largest city in Oklahoma. The people have a largely diversified skill set, with several industries including telecommunications, oil, technology, education and aviation all being important to the local economy.

The two largest post secondary schools within Tulsa are the University of Tulsa, and Oral Roberts University. Both of these institutions compete in NCAA division I sports. The University of Tulsa is a private school with 4,300 students, and the sports teams are referred to as the Golden Hurricane. Oral Roberts has over 3,000 enrolled students, and the athletics teams are known as the Golden Eagles. ORU is an interdenominational Christian school.

Tulsa's museums and art galleries preserve a rich cultural legacy for the town. The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame also frequently features great performances. For high-end shopping, head to Utica Square. For a blast-from-the-past experience, try the Max Retropub.
