Mostly I like this place. They haven't tried to screw us which is the important thing from a landlord imho. But they sure are stingy when it comes to the appliances all the apartments are stocked with. We spent months telling them that there was a problem with the dishwasher and everytime the maintenance people would insist there was nothing wrong. Then it finally got an electrical short and miraculously the replacement with the exact same model was able to wash our dishes just fine. If only we had lied we could have saved ourselves and them plenty of time. So if you have a problem with the appliances just lie and say you smell burning plastic. Do that and this place is alright.

Pros are maintenance is AMAZING!! Truly the only reason Im giving any stars is because they are so great. Sometimes coming 15 minutes after a request. Beautiful outdoor area and lake. The guest parking is amazing. Never had an issue with smells. However, I had multiple issues with management starting from before even signing my lease all the way to the day I moved out. If you ever need to file a complaint or even ask then anything at all prepare to have the worst customer service youve ever had. Appliances with break or need repair constantly. Shower runs cold and you need to call maintenance to come out and fix it every season. Tiny tiny parking spaces. You can hear EVERYTHING from upstairs neighbors. You will know everything about their lives. Once we complained about it and Adam the manager told us everyone has the same complaint. One trash and recycling compactor for the whole community which over flows so often which was gross and embarrassing when people and family came over. Price is okay but amenity cost during Covid and the time they were closed for refurbishing I thought was pretty unfair. All in all I loved my time living in Reston but my experience with the apartment complex itself had a lot lacking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avalon Reston Landing. The location is excellent. The community surrounds a beautiful pond with trees and a trail, is close to several grocery stores, within walking distance of town center, and a short bike ride to the metro. The maitenace team and leasing office are very responsive. Thank you!
