Orlando has numerous annual special events, especially when it comes to football. Every year Orlando hosts the Capital One Bowl at One Citrus Bowl Plaza. Orlando also hosts the annual Florida Citrus Bowl at the same location, which showcases one team from the Southeastern Conference and the Big Ten Conference. Orlanda is also home to the Zora Neal Hurston Festival of the Arts and Humanities, which celebrates arts, gospel, poetry and R&B music. The city also has a carnival around Memorial Day which has a Mardi Gras feel, it has numerous events to take in. There’s no joking around, Orlando is hot! During the height of the Summer, high temps hover around 90 degrees and the low hardly ever dips below 70. The humid climate in the area actually prevents actual temperatures from breaking the 100 degree mouth. During these hot months thunderstorms are a daily occurrence. However, in the winter months, daytime highs are around 70 degrees, with lows staying close to 50 degrees. The lowest temperature that was ever recorded in Orlando was in 1985 at 19 degrees. It doesn’t get too cold here, but plan on having an air conditioner nearby for those extremely humid months.

Methodology

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
