STAY AWAY!!! I could write a novel about why you shouldn't move in here. We moved in when I was 5 months pregnant in the winter time. The furnace kept going out. After the third or fourth time I go to talk to Lindsay the desk girl and say we need a new furnace. She goes "yeeeaaahh... that's not in the budget". Of course it kept going out. It wasn't until I went out and bought a carbon monoxide detector to prove to them that I had been breathing TOXIC gas for months! I was pregnant! Only for them to tell me they had an extra new furnace in storage! -The toilet kept over flowing. -the kitchen drawers barely open. -windows leak, bad. You can smell your neighbors smoking cigarettes every 5 minutes. (Sometimes inside the building) -the manager is very condescending -you can hear your neighbor snore, cough, pee, fight, everything. all night long. -the furnace/ air is super loud. -they'll turn off the water with no warning. Had to go out to get warm water for my baby's bottle a few times. -they rip you off on your gas bill.. always random amounts and no proof behind them. -I could go on. We lasted 6 months here until we had so many problems the manager let us go without paying any fees. But then charged us for a bunch of BS afterwards, of course. Stay away from these sketchy people and crappy apartments. You'll be glad you did.

New manager asked for a key to our apartment which was changed when the old manager was here and she knew about it. So my husband told John he would be their to give him the key John left before my husband could give him the key. My husband has video proof so he (John) can't deny it. The very next day John hands us a 14/30 notice to cure as my husband was handing him the same key he tried to give John the day before! Tried calling the person in charge of him no answer which is fine cause chances are we have to get a lawyer as you can see this is a very shady company that runs these apartments. We didn't believe what some of the residents were saying when we first moved in but if you heard something there is a 99% chance it's true.

I've gone from a one star review, to a four star review, back to a one star. Since I've lived here (Jan. 2015) to now (Feb 2017) this place changed management. It was supposed to get better, but nope, it hasn't. They've gone through 3 property managers since I've been here, and 3 head maintenance techs. I don't know the details of why they've left, but it should say something to have turnover that high in management positions, in only 2 years. They barely keep up with cleaning and repair, and consistent turnover means zero rapport between staff and tenants. It also means that tenant problems go unanswered when it relates to long-term problems. I've reported my neighbors for issues, and once the management office requested that I give them a full statement on everything, as upper management (Monarch) was going to begin the eviction process. Then the property manager changed, and now it seems those problems have been forgotten. These neighbors throw trash out their windows into the lawn, smoke weed (and some other weird smelling substance) in their bathroom with the fan on so it blows into my apartment, and have broken the front security door so their friends can get in without keys. It's a mediocre (at best) living space. Community amenities are coats of paint on outhouses, they're not supervised, rundown, and measly. Rent is high for what you get - essentially the best part about living here is the pet policy, which is abused by some tenants who hide their fourth and fifth pets (seriously my neighbors have 4 dogs and two birds, and the dogs are fighting as I type this). Look elsewhere. I tried to empathize with the management because I used to work in residency environments. I understood what they inherited and can relate with trying to meet the high expectations of bad tenants. They've had their chance, and it's past. This is poor performance plain and simple.

I currently live here and have for several years. Turn over among office and maintenance staff has always been high. It's always unfortunate when the good ones leave but it shows how little the property owners/management cares. It also shows in how little regard they show to long time renters. There was a new management company that bought the complex and they make policy changes that leaves us no alternative but to move. The latest is charging monthly pet rent, which is against Nebraska landlord-tenant laws, if you'd like to take them to court. Yet, I see 9 or more people occupying one apartment. I would guarantee that many people do more damage than my animals. There's trash everywhere, beer cans and liquor bottles all over, people hanging laundry outside on strings across the patio, dog crap everywhere you step because they won't do anything to make people clean up after themselves or their dog. And it happens in broad daylight in full view of the queens in the office as they stand out on the balcony smoking. And don't count on the pool ever being open on time and closed all day whenever they feel like it. I've put up with a lot but this latest disregard of long time tenants, changing of policy and downhill spiral gives me no incentive to continue to live here.

I lived here for over a year and to call the staff incompetent would be an understatement. To get anything fixed you have to put in a request four times. And no one seems to know how to read the lease agreement there. I broke my lease, paid everything in full, I even asked them how much I owed them and they said i was Paying it all that day. A week later I get a bill for over a thousand dollars saying that I better pay up or kiss my credit goodbye. Their thieves plain and simple

I was a former inmate her..I mean tenant and I just want to say ...DO NOT rent here!!!! Don't let the location and "free month rent" get you...its a dump....my neighbor had a roach nest and management never took care of it...and so I would occasionally find one in my kitchen. I rented a garage and was double billed on several occasions....management sucks....so many complaints but nothing changes....beer bottles in the parking lot along with condoms and drug paraphernalia. Cops always show up..somebody beat their significant other..AGAIN!!! The pool is filthy but come summer it is always full of people and so of course there is always filth and noise.... Please do yourself a favor..go ANYWHERE else but here.....

I currently live here, moved in before January and got the rest of December free. I gave this place 4 stars because before we decided to come here, we looked at other apartments in our price point, and believe me, this was the nicest we could find. Everything cheaper than this was in horrible areas, in degenerative condition, and managed by less intelligent and less kind people than the staff of this area. The staff here tries really hard to make sure that current residents are living well- along with the deal that I mentioned previously, they gave us a gift basket upon moving in- which I found very thoughtful. I've never had that kind of policy, and I've lived in many different apartments in Lincoln and Omaha. The apartments are very clean and look very homey/modern, inside and out. I love the faux wood paneling on the floors of most of the apartments, and their pet policy is hard to beat in the Omaha area, unless you're willing to take a chance with safety and/or comfort. Sadly, many residents expect an unrealistic level of catering for the price that they're paying. Try and find other apartments at this price point and with staff this attentive/nice- fat chance you'll come up with much. Then, coupled with that, many residents have a pretty crappy attitude, and don't care much to care for other residents or their homes- which is then blamed on the management. Yes, these apartments have struggled with management in the past- but since the change, I've noticed an air of responsibility, professionalism, and care from the main office that was seriously lacking even when I moved in. I appreciate what they're trying to do with this place, and it can't be easy considering what they've inherited. I have worked in a residence management atmosphere before, and understand the challenges posed by a resident mindset of immediate gratification- that's just not how the world works. Why did I take the time to write this much (and I promise I don't work for them)? Because I made an early, more recent post, and the new management responded to it, contacted me personally, and ensured that any potential gripes I had were taken care of. Without responsibility on my part as resident, how can I expect the same from my managers? Just because I pay them doesn't mean I own them. So, please, give Pacific Winds another chance.

Wish I could give it less than one star. Lived here for one year after being shown an immaculate display apartment. What we saw was not at all what we got...The hallways were always disgusting, always smelled like pot and a faint aroma of shit and dead spiders. The walls were so thin that we were always serenaded to sleep by the sweet sound of domestic abuse and teen mothers yelling at their two year olds. The parking lot was always crawling with unsupervised children. One time, the brats threw rocks at my car as I was leaving, and my roommate nearly backed over a kid on a bike once. The place was always crawling with cops from disturbance calls. Our apartment was broken into at SIX in the morning after somebody watched me leave to go to work. One time as I was leaving, I was harassed by several drunken men from the third floor balcony on the next apartment. The management was terrible and condescending about it when I let them know. Basically told us they would not be printing any reminders for residents to lock their doors, because it was our own fault. Not to mention the front stairs to our apartment was vandalized/spray painted with the words, "DIE ASHLEY." Nobody ever painted over it. Classy. The management was rude and always took a TWO HOUR LUNCH BREAK where they would not respond to anybody. They never let us know when our packages where in. When we moved in, we were told we could pay rent online- then when we moved in, we were told we could not. They also told us to move our car several times, because we parked in front of the clubhouse and it was "their spot" even though it was not designated? Our obese yet not handicapped neighbor also stole the handicapped space every day. Parking was a freaking nightmare. Our apartment itself was a trainwreck. The majority of our outlets never worked, cords would randomly just fall out. The shitty flooring was so cheap that the fake wood linoleum was dented all over just from our couch sitting on it. We waited weeks for our toilet to be fixed. One of our showers constantly dripped so badly that it grew black mold all up the side AFTER WE WERE TOLD IT THEY FIXED IT. After it randomly clogged so badly that two rounds of draino couldn't fix the issue, we just gave up and stopped using it fully. Our towel rack literally fell out of the wall after hanging a freaking towel on it. The front door to our building was broken and you could pull it open just by yanking on it. The pool was open for less than a month the entire year. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Take it from someone who lives here. STAY AWAY. Roach infested. Dog poop everyone because no one picks up after their dogs. The place is old and falling apart. They will offer you a deal to move in. If you plan on staying more than a year, expect to pay A LOT MORE the next year. Way to much for these broken down apartments. Oh yeah, the staff turnover rate is very high. And the on site security is a joke! They don't ever show up when you need them. Cops are here all the time for one thing or another!
