I have lived in various units here the past 7 years and just recently moved out.
The apartments are pretty spacious with lots of storage. The rates here are relatively cheaper, but you get what you pay for. I only stayed in the older phase units, but everything felt a bit cheap and out of date. The buildings were hardly maintained. It seems like there would be better upkeep by the staff.
As for the area, it was a bit of a mixed bag. There are a good number of food/retail options available. However, there had been more criminal activity in the area in recent months, which was worrisome.
The move out experience was also a nightmare. My roommate and I had moved within the complex a number of times. We paid the $150 security deposit each time moving into a new unit. However, neither of us were given the security deposits back for our previous units, nor
were we given any kind of statement detailing any charges. We brought this up to the staff and were told that the security deposits just rolled over since we moved within the complex. Didn't see any need to question this at the time, but this came back to bite us in the end when moving out of the complex for good.
We were charged a pretty significant amount for cleaning fees and damages to our latest unit that were not deemed as normal wear and tear. Some of the damages and fees were a bit questionable, while others I completely understand and was totally on board with paying, especially after living in this last unit for 4 years. But only the most recent security deposit was applied to the fees. We called to find out what happened to the other security deposits from our previous units and was told by the property manager that the security deposits do not roll over, and that she did not have any records of what happened to them. I asked if they could look into this further and she rudely told me that she didn't see the point of looking into this further because it didn't relate to the current charges, which was pretty baffling.
Overall, I would not recommend living here.
