Lived here a year and a half or so (1 bedroom in the flats building). The apartments feel new and the appliances/trimmings are nice. Maintenance was extremely responsive on the rare occasions I had issues. Management pleasant to deal with and Willy street is great in general. Things I didnt like: - My unit only had an auxiliary electric bathroom heater for the entire apartment - Soundproofing was terrible, especially the doors - The cool looking rail line right across the bike path is very much active, and the freight locomotives are very much required to let you know theyre coming no matter what time it is. Just be prepared - They were going to bump my rent up, and when I decided to leave I noticed similar units were renting for far less money. Overall, had a decent time living here, but certainly not perfect. I decided it wasnt worth the $.

This is a fine apartment building, the management is very helpful and responsive. The windows are good quality and the cabinets are good. It was a good experience. That being said, it is all young professionals living here, and there is a train that blasts its horn at whatever hour at night. Depending on how lightly you sleep this could be an issue. Also there is an ice maker in the fridge but they didn't actually connect it, kinda lame. Also, I did not appreciate them wanting to jack up our rent, and then when we decided not to renew they ended up listing it for significantly less.

We love it here. The climate controlled parking, location, concrete flooring, and space is all great. Having said that, there are definitely some issues. Not sure the layouts are really designed for the best use of space and the courtyard is pretty weird. CONS: the appliances look nice but are cheap so our dishwasher doesn't dry. The cabinets in the kitchen have handles on them that are so sharp, I have 5 scars on my legs already and my kids have hurt themselves numerous times just walking through the kitchen so the handles they went with are awful and they won't change them. The cabinets LOOK nice. But they are really cheap. Fixtures like towels racks all LOOK nice and modern but they are also super cheap and you can tell once you touch them. The cabinets are all MDF and the "finish" or stain comes off at the touch. Any water droplets on the inside of the bottoms of the drawers and cabinets have already created some bubbling water damage spots and we've only been here a few months. These same cabinets are in the bathrooms. With moisture and humidity. They aren't going to last a year without being affected by the moisture. The doors in our place are sliding and we have a bunch and they are really great to have but the door is in the center of the glass but we have vertical blinds so we have to open the blinds 3/4 of the way to open the door. Sounds weird but it's just a lot of little poor planning things. They aren't so bad that they outweigh everything else but as soon as we moved in, I knew these items wouldn't stand up to average living. We really needed to live in this area and in an apartment so it's good for that. I'm just not looking forward to watching these features fall apart.
