The carpet was extremely dirty when we first moved in and was never cleaned or changed. I really do like our apartment on Gerry Court and JSM has DECENT costumer service and relatively quick responses to emails. However the construction their doing this summer is not only remarkably load but it shakes my entire apartment at 7am Monday through Saturday.

They have such little disregard for the health and safety of their tennats. There are leaks from the ceiling, the hallways smells like mold, and all they do to fix this is paint over where it's leaking from the wall. They also allow bodily fluids such as puke to sit for a whole day because it's 'non-emergency'. However bodily fluids such as puke are a hazard and could easily spread illnesses and diseases that way. Don't live with this management.

The day we moved in to Campus Village we were given a bad impression of this company. Our ceiling and fan were covered in a thick layer of dust as well as spiderwebs (pictured), and our sinks and kitchen were dirty. Parts of the wall looked as if they had been taped and painted over (pictured). We went to go complain and they informed us that it would be fixed within the next week, it never was. This past November our apartment became infested with Silverfish, they were exterminated but have since returned. The only reason I am giving this an extra star is because the maintenance service is very quick and always polite.

I've lived with JSM for two years. Great customer service and when I put in a work request they fix it within 24 hours. The apartments aren't terribly nice but they work for a college student on a budget. But, I've worked with their front desk a lot and they are extremely resourceful.

Let's see here, I met the one of the owners today that owns this company. He was a complete jerk. All of there products they use to provide their renters are extremely cheap products that break easily.
Staff was friendly, helpful and interested in how you are doing. I've had 3 company landlords and JSM has been the best by far. 10x better than MPM!

1. Moved in, cat/dog piss all over the carpets in every room, they did not vaccum so we clogged up our own vaccum with hand fulls after handfuls of pet hair and dust! Called them, and NOT surprisingly they're making some crap up that the apt was vaccummed and shampooed on some random date by "professional staff". So they sent a halfassed maintenance guy to come shampoo the carpet. The place was filthy, mold in the toilet and side windows, light fixtures needing to be replaced the first week, kitchen counters chippings of wood, 1 patio blind missing, the list goes on and on. It's almost like the previous tenant left the place as is, and it stayed that way.
2. They give you notice less than 24 hours that they're coming to show the apt, the note will have a date of 2 days prior to the showing- yet a note showing up on your door step within 12 hours of the apt showing. They've done this about 5 times.
3. JSM staff will be super nice before you sign that lease, after that all goes down hill. Worst customer service, rude, halfassed, lies after lies, their excuse making is what they're known for. Super lazy and only after commission.
