It's hard to describe just how difficult it has been working with this place. I lived in the four bedroom unit of 104 E Gilman. First of all, the place is absolutely infested with rodents. The very first week we moved in, we could hear bats and rats crawling all over the ceiling and in the walls. That infestation has remained a problem during our whole tenure, despite telling CHT numerous times and recording countless videos of rodents crawling in our ceilings/walls late at night to make them believe us. Still nothing has been done. The second problem structure of the apartment. You are essentially living in a labyrinth in a dungeon, which isn't really a problem (you get what you pay for) but the building was literally built in 1855, so you will run into A LOT of connection and electric issues. Forget about having any cell reception down there. When you install your wifi, you'll need to purchase a 100 ft. Ethernet cable because there is only ONE (1) working Ethernet port in your house, and its located in the furthest bedroom from anyone. Why not have CHT turn on the additional ethernet ports located in other rooms in the house? because they "don't know how." Why not keep your internet router in the furthest room and just have everyone connect wirelessly? Because the house is so old that the walls are made of cement, making it impossible for the wireless signal to travel any further than two rooms away MAX. We ended up having to buy two routers and a range extender just so the wifi signal could reach all four bedrooms. Additionally, the water temperature isn't at all consistent. We haven't had hot water at all in one of our bathrooms for almost 3 weeks now (submitted a maintenance request the first week). The washer and dryer will beep at you until you turn it off. The heater is located in one bedroom so that bedroom will need to keep their windows open at night in the middle of December while the other bedrooms will need to buy plastic wrap to put over their windows because it gets so cold. I could go on and on.
