I was told about this community by a friend while I was looking for housing for my daughter to get her closer to school. I was blown away at what a great location it was in! As a mom I am very concerned with location and safety, especially with being downtown. The staff was super nice and helpful and really put me at ease which is something I have not found at any of the other in town properties we toured. My daughter loved the access to the Beltline and Ponce City Market and the fact that she could get to school so easily. The price was right on par for the area so the staff and location made all the difference for my daughter and myself. I highly recommend this property and look forward to moving my kiddo in! Kudos to Block Lofts!

Well I would have given a better review except for my experience on our first and last day. We lived at Block for a year. You can't beat the location, but they charge you accordingly for belt line access. When we moved in the apartment had been vacant for almost 2 months and they painted and cleaned carpeting that should have been replaced years before. However, it was far too late at that point and we were given $250 off our first months rent because the apartment was not clean prior to move in oh and my full size washer and dryer that they advertised at the time as being in every apartment...was a apartment size stackable. Also the tile on the kitchen floor is a slate gray that was not put in properly so a lot of them moved or were cracked and then because they were never sealed, it was very flat and scratched looking...it never seemed to get cleaned. I was told they could re-grout. That would not fix the problem but okay. And speaking of my (as advertised on the site when we moved there in 2016) gourmet kitchen....we had 80's style white backsplash and laminate counter tops. I was told we could pay $100 a month to update to granite? Why should I basically pay for the upgrade when you advertise otherwise???? Yes this is an older building and they better step it up as there are brand new complexes going up around them...for $200 a month more...go newer. Our Georgia Power bill for July of 2016 was $237!! That says a lot about the windows and for sure not energy efficient. Honestly...after all that we were going to renew. But they raised our rent...for what? If they would have done updates other than just the carpeting that was approved...I would have stayed. But you basically have to move all your stuff for new carpeting to be put in anyway. And the hallways and common areas over the past 3 months are nasty. People leave their trash out and I'm told to take a photo so they can address the issue. Ummm....not my job. You should be walking your property and holding people accountable!!! So for our last couple of days...I had the movers come on the 29th as I try to avoid moving on Fridays and Saturdays. I was asked if I would be done in order for them to do my final walk thru and I advised I doubted it because I had to finish cleaning and still grab a few things and that I would come back before the end of business on the 30th. The manager Ken called me late morning on the 30th to see if I was out and I told him no...I'd be there by 3. I was there at 2:30 and they had workers in there that had torn up the carpeting and put in laminated hard wood and started on the tile in the laundry room. My stuff was covered and I mean covered in dust as they were also prepping walls to be re-painted. Of course I had to wait until almost 4 for someone to be back in the office. Ken advised that our move out was the 29th and that is all we had been charged for. Ken...I can show you that you charged us 29 days for trash, utilities, etc....but we paid rent for the ENTIRE month of June. Not to mention Georgia Power and your guys had that air down to 73 degrees!!! Sure it's one day...but that place was still ours per our lease. I felt completely disrespected. I was trying to finish cleaning the place...could have given me a heads up that you were going to tear the place apart and I didn't need to bother!!! Seriously??? We were always super polite and quite and paid our rent on time. Give me the chance to move out before you start work on the unit. And work that we had been requesting! So we ended up at Camden...paying $100 less a month at Block for a 3 year old building and silly things like granite and matching ceiling fans and brand new carpet oh and the ceiling fans have remotes and the toilet seats are the right size for the toilets and the kitchen floor is not cracked nor does it move. No direct belt line access but I can walk the extra 1/2 a block for nicer and newer thanks.

Besides I can send you a ledger.... no how about you tell me what type of business you're running. It's all bogus. Beware

I've lived at Block Lofts for a little over a year now and I absolutely love it. The management staff is very warm, welcoming, professional and do what the can to make you happy. There are tons of amenities and recent upgrades have recently been completed as well. I love that the complex is in O4W and centrally located to VH, Inman park, L5P and our backyard is the beltline. I'm thankful that I ignored previous reviews and came to visit this property last year and sign a lease. As with any apartment complex you have occassional incidents of loud neighbors or running into people that aren't too friendly in the hallway but that's just apartment life. I love that I can call Block Lofts home for now.

I have been living at the Block for a few months now. I must say that I almost didn't look at this place because of some of the online reviews. I'm glad I decided to check it out to see for myself because I really like living here. The management seems to be working hard to keep the place up. (I guess in the past that wasn't the case)There is always some type of improvement being made in the common areas and some to my apt that I didn't even ask for. (Just got new plantation blinds!).Its not perfect but it gets better all the time. If I see something that needs attention the usually management gets on it right away. One of the best things about the Block is the location. We have a secure gate that goes right to the Atlanta Beltline. I walk just about everywhere except to work on the Beltline (nail salon, Whole foods, Piedmont Park, Starbucks) It is so convenient and it seems to be safe. Full of friendly people. I think the Old 4th Ward is a great place to live and the Block is pretty cool. Check it out for yourself. Pet friendly and cool people.

I lived at Block Lofts for 7 months. I enjoyed being so close to everything and having a great space to come home to. The rent is pricey, but you also get luxury amenities and again the location cannot be topped. It is convenient to Inman Park, Virginia Highlands, Midtown, and 75/85. One huge plus, the management changed last year and they are very nice people! They will actually take care of you, and do what they said they were going to do. I don't even live there anymore, but I had some problems with my old mail and they were still very nice and communicative about everything.

DO NOT LEASE FROM THIS COMPLEX OR ANY COMPLEX OWNED & OPERATED BY THECONNOR GROUP.They overcharge you constantly on services that they force you to have thru therre company.there was always poop in the hallways, the trash compacter is always over flowing & you have to pay for it by explaining to your guest to ignore the bundles of garbage spilling out into the parking lot. All your guests have to park on the 5th floor or on the street due to inadequat parking facilities. They made a mistake at the time I moved in with my prorated amount & waited to tell me when I moved out & is now trying to keep the difference from my deposit. They will charge you for additional utilities & cable even if you don't want it thru a third party billing company which is just a cover for a company that is affiliated with the Connor group. So your basically paying a ridiculous amount for rent as well as paying them again thru this company. This company charges you a ridiculous admin fee every month & late fee if your 1 day late that is NOT the rate your suppose to pay for the state you live in.Management & staff constantly change & they are unprofessional, discourteous, non compliant. JUST PLAIN RUDE!! There are so many hidden fees you will definitely end up owing a balance when your lease is up. They fool potential tenants with there amenities that are lackluster @ best, the pipes & the apartments are old. No matter how much you clean rust is always an issue. There bathrooms are old & they want you to pay for what they call luxury. THIS COMPANY & CONNER GROUP ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS & THIEVES WHO STEAL FROM THERE HARD WORKING TENANTS BY MASQUERDING IT WITH HIDDEN FEES THAT ARE UNJUST. They do not ever show there tenants any kind of thanks for there patronage by sponsering community activities or anything & to top it off its noisy as hell. Not noisy like if you live near a busy street because its secluded, the concrete walkways & heavy doors are always filled with noisy tenants & being slammed shut. So that is what you will wake up to & attempt to fall asleep to everyday. BE WARE ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY & WANTS YOU IN THERE YOU ARE STUCK UNTIL YOUR LEASE IS UP! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!

My son is in college and lived there. Management changes often. Promises to return calls are broken. He was accused of not paying rent twice, when I know rent was paid because I paid it and had to supply bank records from my bill pay system to prove it. They even filed an eviction action against him claiming a rent payment from several months back had not been paid, only to dismiss the case when they acknowledged that they had received the rent check from my bank, and someone in the office had misplaced it. It takes forever to clear these issues up with Block Lofts. The security gates were left open for several days and several vehicles, including my son's had tires stolen or were broken into. Later, another person's car had tires stolen. Management was fine when he moved in a few years ago, but it seems to change often now. Find a place with credible management, as they never have time for you and seems to always be in over their heads.
