• Your top-floor bedrooms feature opening windows with black-out shades, queen-sized mattresses, closets, dressers, and shelf space, a bathtub and shower with caddy, and all-cotton towels.

• The washer and dryer are located on the same floor in a utility closet, which also stores some household supplies, iron, and ironing board.

• There is a powder room on this floor too.
• Enjoy the 65-inch TV and surround-sound home theater from the electric-adjusting leather couch or velvet loveseat, which is also a pull-out single bed.
• Electric, gas, garbage, and water are included in your rent, as well as high-speed wifi.
• Long-time landlords who love to provide a home
Your bedrooms include a queen mattress, and we provide sheets/pillowcases and pillows for convenience. You’ll also find a mat, blocks, and blanket. Many windows are operable and all feature light-blocking blackout shades. Both bedrooms have closets, dressers, and shelves. The bathrooms include a bathtub and shower. We keep a stock of towels, bedding, and blankets for your use.
The kitchen and living room are laid out as a great room, featuring a granite-topped island (with power), dining room table, and large living room with couches, TV, and stereo. The floors are bamboo, and the room is decorated with some art and photography. Most appliances are nearly new and in excellent working order. There’s ample countertop for food preparation and cooking. The 2-door refrigerator features deli drawer, filtered water, and ice maker. The freezer includes three drawers, offering about 2 cubic feet food storage. The oven includes a convection option, and the 4-burner gas stovetop features a reversible cast iron grill and griddle.
Enjoy plenty of ambient daytime light and fresh air from all the working windows and deck slider (including screen) on this floor. Our home is about 20 years old, so there are power outlets in convenient places in all rooms. While Ballard is an urban setting, our small yard is overflowing with greenery, trees, and bushes. If something is blossoming, we encourage our guests to cut them for display inside.
This room is also the heart of the entertainment system. The room offers seven in-ceiling speakers that will broadcast music, news, podcasts, etc. from the Bluetooth-enabled receiver. The same receiver creates surround sound for movies shown on the 65-inch television. It’s a smart TV ready to stream. Adding to the home comforts is an on-demand gas fireplace, which warms the room quickly with a thermostat-controlled fan.
Entry to the townhome is via a small driveway from the street into a carport and our front door. The path is lit by motion sensing lights. The front door includes a locking bolt and handset. Stairs take you to the second floor living area.
Ballard is nestled on the north side of Seattle, and our townhome is walking distance to a variety of amenities, including restaurants, theater, pharmacy, library, parks, beach, groceries, coffee shops, and interesting mercantile boutiques of all kinds.
Within blocks are major bus stops for Metro busses traveling in all directions, including Seattle Rapid Ride, making most major hospitals an easy commute.
The townhouse is within walking distance of grocery stores, pharmacies, and banks, as well as other “necessities”:
• QFC groceries
• Bartells Pharmacy
• 7-Eleven
• Bank of America, Chase, Well’s Fargo
• King County Library branch
Driving distance but not far:
• Trader Joes
• PCC – organic groceries
• Fred Meyer - groceries
• Safeway
• Target
Also, walkable are a large variety of restaurants, including some of our favorites:
• Rupi – Order all of the tapas because you can’t go wrong
• India Bistro – Reliable and tasty Indian open lunch, dinner, and take-out
• Moshi Moshi – Excellent sushi
• Café Besalu – Bar none, best French bakery in Seattle.
There’s also ample opportunity for shopping and entertainment in our neighborhood.
• Bay Theater – This is a locally-owned theater, showing first-run films
• Tractor Tavern – Super location for live music
• Ballard Consignment – Just an interesting place to wander and explore other people’s stuff
• Sweet Mickeys Candy Shoppe – Old time bulk candy store, with handmade fudge and a fine collection of black licorice.
