Around 35% of students who attend Bradley live off-campus. Thankfully there are many places to live in Peoria which are not too expensive. As always, it is more prudent to live with a roommate and cut rent costs. Many two-bedrooms in Peoria are only around $600/month, and three-bedrooms about $750, while one-bedrooms are around $500/month. There are some townhouses for rent as well. Peoria Heights and East Peoria are right down the street and have some additional rental options as well. Peoria is home to a few major festivals each year. The Peoria Civic Center hosts live music from some of the biggest artist’s today, comedy shows, theater events, and more, so always keep an eye on their calendar to see if there is a show coming up you’d be interested in attending. There are a few other venues and theaters that put on performances throughout the year, too. The 25th Annual Illinois Blues Festival takes place each August, with two days of blues artists performing, workshops to attend, music competitions and more. The Steamboat Classic is a 4-mile race with so many participants than an international crowd is drawn to participate and watch as well. The Heart of Illinois Fair, and Annual Art Fair, are just two other events. Just every every type of sport has a home in Peoria, and there are courts, arenas, and fields to watch them all.
