Update: the person who designed parking spots doesnt have common sense? They have 5 consecutive parking spots lined up at the very end of the parking lot with the word guest on them. However, there is one spot smack dab in the middle of these guest parking spaces that does not have the word guest painted on it so it is not guest parking. Ironically, this spot is aligned with the speed bump on one side, and is at the bottom of a small hill, so when it rains, there is a huge puddle over the spot where you would not be able to read the marking if there was the word guest painted there. But there is nothing painted there to let you know its resident parking and NOT guest parking. This spot used to be a guest spot but then was resurfaced in the past year so it was specifically removed by someone very special. So dont assume that a group of guest parking spots at the end of the row are guest parking even if they are grouped together! According to reviews others have had their cars towed too, so to anyone parking there: dont go with your common sense assumption that its in a guest parking area. Instead, get a pump to remove the puddle of water when you are parking there in the dark so you can see if it says guest or not! If they cared about their residents like they claim to, they would fix this problem. Its obvious they dont care when they knew exactly which spot I was talking about because its happened to others but havent done anything to change it.

Gave this place the benefit of the doubt because of reviews Ive read online. But actually, the reviews are absolutely correct. I do not recommend this place at all. Its infested with lizards and baby frogs. Not your typical Florida amount, but an unreasonable ammount. They are everywhere. The parking alone should be a major sign to not move in. The ratio of people living in the apartments and the amount of parking there is does not equate. This means youll have to drive around until you find a parking spot. Theres guest parking but theres usually broken down cars that sit there permanently or cars that belong to people who live in the apartments but sit there permanently as well, theres covers on the cars and everything. Theres like 10 guest parking covered by a dumpster that could be used as guest parking but isnt. Inside the apartment itself is nice overall. Front desk employees are helpful before signing the lease but useless and unapologetic after youre tied down to the lease. Read all reviews before moving in please, dont make a mistake youll regret.

It really is a shame this place gets such negative reviews. It's possible that people had genuinely bad experiences, or that the reviewers are lying. I myself will give my most honest review possible. I had to move in a crunch due to unforeseen circumstances, and found Allister Place. It is most certainly not in an upscale neighborhood, and definitely isn't in the ghetto, but the property itself is constantly being taken care of. When I left, they had just paved the parking lot, and had installed a new signal by its Busch Blvd entrance, which looks very nice. Management had always been very nice to me. Any time I had put in a service request, within a couple days it would be addressed. I can say with confidence that the apartment was in better shape when I left than when I had first arrived. The buildings are constructed in a way that every apartment is next to one other. My neighbors never caused me problems, but they themselves often were not exactly quiet. They left me alone, I left them alone. I noticed that with most of the residents, everyone left everyone alone, but any time I came across people, I never had any problems with anybody. The main office is a very nice building. They offer an office space for residents to use with a printer and computers. The pool is large and very nice, and they have a large open commons are area which is very inviting for children to play, adults to do outside exercising, and there are places for people to walk their dogs. Their prices are very fair, and paying rent online is easy and convenient. The location of the property puts it within a 10 minute drive of almost anything you could want. USF, Wal Mart, Target, Winn Dixie, Publix, Busch Gardens, the 275, the 75, 301, Selmon Expressway, you name it. I can honestly say I enjoyed my year there. It is certainly worth checking out!

I hope I can make up for some of the bad reviews at Allister Place. Overall, we consider ourselves pretty lucky with our apartment. When weve had issues, maintenance is quick and management has handled everything appropriately. It may be because of being at the front of the complex, but weve never had issues with others in the complex. The pool is never crowded and very clean. I think it all depends on your exact apartment you get, the experience you have! Try to get one near the front. We consider ourselves lucky to have a tentative office staff and a clean pest free apartment compared to other complex reviews weve seen. We were made aware of parking policies upon move in and the office sends out frequent reminders so weve never had a problem with parking. Cons: kitchen storage space is very very limited for the Cypress one bedroom style. The toilets are water conserving so they require multiple flushes every time. The floor plans show storage units but double check because we found out on move in day there wasnt. Overall this is a great place for the price if you follow the policies and need something nice for the time being!

She talks down to people as if shes smarter than them! They definetly lack communication and people skills. They always have cars getting broken into, people fighting in gym and pool areas...The on site security is obviously not doing their job! This place is nothing like the pictures posted online! Weve lived here for over a year and a half and this place has been nothing but issues since the beginning. When we first moved in the tub was cracked and had to be resealed so we couldnt shower for 3 days. The hot water heater was also rusted out and was only replaced when we complained about it multiple times. The same scenario happened in the apartment above us and their hot water heater leaked water into our apartment and they couldnt tell us why there was a fan and dehumidifier in our home for over 2 days because it was the weekend. Then there are the pool parties. The hours on the pool are from dusk til dawn and are supposed to be enforced by on site security. Last summer we had to call said security numerous times due to loud pool parties going on at midnight or later and when we did call they were not on site and took over 30 minutes to arrive and deal with the situation. We have already had to call once this year due to a loud pool party with a dj who was swearing, playing loud and offensive music and come to find out none of the people who were at the pool party even lived here. Then we had our refrigerator break, which we lost all of our cold food due to it, and then the air conditioner has been and ongoing issue. The parking is a joke, and they are constantly monitoring the parking lot to tow cars that arent in guest spots, even when said spots have been guest spots since we lived here until the last time they resurfaced the parking lot, then they removed one spot in the middle of a guest parking row and tow every car in it. We complained about said spot and were told its supposed to be a guest spot but because its not painted that way theres nothing they can do to compensate us. So it costed us $185 to get a rental car back because mine was in the shop and didnt have a parking pass on it. This place may look nice from the outside but is nothing but make-up on a pig. The only reason we still live here is because we are trying to save up money to get a down payment on a house so we can finally get out of this nightmare. The front desk is nothing but unhelpful and the manager is never available and they only staff one person on a Saturday. Anytime you request something from the front desk you always have to follow-up before the task you requested is completed. I would give this place zero stars if I could. The only positive about this place is the maintenance staff as they have been super helpful whenever something has gone wrong or we have needed help.

I currently live here, my lease is up in August so ive almost lived here for a year and overall its a pretty good place to live. Every apartment complex has its pros and cons but for the most part Allister Place has a lot of pros. The maintenance staff is amazing, they always get to problems right away. One time our air conditioning broke and they were here within the hour. The office staff is also really great. They always do little things for residents, like for Christmas they offered free gift wrapping which I loved. The pool is nice and clean as well as the grounds. I honestly dont have any noise complaints, sometimes you can hear the neighbors but only if theyre moving furniture or something, but living on the bottom floor I expected that, the walls arent paper thin or anything. Ive seen a lot of reviews about bad parking but ive never had a problem. Theres lots of parking on my side of the complex which is around to the left of when you pull it. Cons of living here: the area isnt very good and someone tried to break into my car(that being said there is a security company they hired that patrols at night so it makes me feel a little better), theres no garbage disposal in the kitchen, I think they apartment is a little small for the price and location (currently in a 2 bedroom), and my front door area is always flooded if it rains, we had to get rid of the front door mat because it would just never dry. But I think its a pretty decent place to live. I do wish it was a gated community though just because of the area. I personally dont feel safe taking the trash out at night, but during the day its okay. I hope this review helps someone out.

I communicated with Ashley on 3 separate ocasions and not once did she put any notes in the system. I came home to a notice on my door stating I had to pay additional money! I was furious and it was all because Ashley did communicate with her mananger and made decisions that she didnt have the authority to do. I was livid and showed up the office, granted I wasnt the nicest but at this point I was over it. Now all because of my attitude the staff is ignoring that fact that Ashley did not follow protocol and gave my boyfriend and I wrong information. Luckily for Ashley all her besties have her back and we ( the people who throw away thousands of dollars on rent) are assed out. Not renewing with them another year! Piece advice, if you make any time of agreement with the office get it in writing!!!!

I believe when I moved in December 2016, it was recently under the new management that is Allister Place. I was a little afraid because the prior reviews had been awful, but they reflect the prior management company. The staff has always been helpful and friendly since the initial leasing process. I moved into one of their newly renovated units with the laminate floors (I have a pet, so carpet is a no-go), and love it. In-unit stackable washer and dryer is amazing. Maintenance requests are fulfilled promptly and completely. For the most part, it is a quiet complex with beautiful landscaping, perfect for dog walking. It seems silly to charge pet rent since their "dog park" definitely needs a facelift and is a dirt lot with a fence around it, but perhaps that's something they are looking to renovate next. Allister Place is probably one of the nicest complexes in the Busch area and I think the price reflects that. There is a shortage of guest parking, yes, so it can be frustrating. The towing company that is used is predatory, in my opinion, and will demand cash on hand to retrieve your car. I don't know if this is common practice, but its rubbish. They have worked to add more guest parking after residents complained so they are working on that issue. All in in all, I have enjoyed my time living at Allister Place.

I used to drive a Mini Cooper. I never reported a break-in because I leave nothing of value in my car but, my car, when I had it, was broken into only once. Management seems to not understand this as I told her twice (before walking out on her.) that I'm not legally obligated to title it. Seemed content to tell me to park in guest as a acceptable alternative. It's own kind of hubris to suggest to any resident. Im near the front office with the closest space being in the corner end of the complex. Even then they said with it there was no guarantee my moped wouldn't get towed since there's no tag. Utter absurdity. It's a joke. I come home at 5am night after night and see dozens of free spaces. Guest spots are grouped in the most inconvenient and non-sensible manner. Not to mention violations without consequence as per their parking policy. Hypocrisy. I have pictures. And filed a complaint with the BBB as well. At first some of staff members act nicely to you, but after you move in their personality changes. I dealt with neighbors from hell and when it was reported NOTHING was done. I paid $50 shy of $1000 a month on the largest one bedroom. A staff member lied to my mother about me, which is so unprofessional and just plain cruel. We gave them a 60 day notice and left TWO months before our actual lease expired because my mother and I could no longer put up with our neighbors, who by the way purposefully threw their trash on our side, deliberately played loud music 2, 3 o'clock in the morning, purposefully slammed their doors to disturb us, and have numerous people come in and out at all hours of the night. A maintenance guy stated he witnessed a physical altercation between the neighbors and another party ON THE property and they were still allowed to stay! DO NOT trust the manager! Now they are threatening to start the eviction process, mind you, we gave them notice and LEFT the premise and turned in our keys. We have been nothing, but kind to them. We brought them doughnuts for crying out loud and referred my friend to live there. For all the money we have given them ($1700 upfront and $950 a month), my mom and I are EXTREMELY hurt and saddened. Save your money and look elsewhere.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

The grounds are kept spotless, maintenance is extremely responsive, staff is very professional and curtious (SN: the periodic text updates are great to keep residents in the know), parking is ample and the community is quiet!

Save yourself the headaches, car break ins, and fright of strange people walking around the apartment complex all times of the night. My daughter had been living here for over a year and it had been nothing but issues. Her car was broken into twice, even after they swore that they had hired private "security". Just this past weekend there were over 12 cars broken into the same night, the police and detectives were everywhere. Apartments look nice from the outside but are falling apart from inside out. It is not safe to live here. Her apartment experienced leak after leak, until finally she came home and the entire apartment was flooded. She was forced to move out. It was not safe to live in, even after they "fixed" everything from the flood, which only took 2 days (not realistic based on the damage). The only positive thing in the apartment complex are the maintenance guys who were very helpful in some situations. The headache of having my child live here was not worth the lovely appearance given on by the model apartment. For your safety, find somewhere else to live.

My front door didn't close all the way upon move in, the shower didn't work properly, and a variety of other maintence orders needed to be completed upon move in. After moving in my a/c had broken twice, as well as having no hot water. Once again, I have only lived here three weeks. My guests car was towed for not being parking in guest after the apartment complex had put a mini storage unit in the guest parking area taking up a large portion of the guest parking. I would make sure you do plenty of research before settling at this establishment.

I spent a year living in one of the apartments and it did not take three days and it started to get wet. The ceiling of the apartment fell to the ceiling painting. So we spent more than three days as it fell on the weekend and then we had to wait for it The ceiling would dry to be able to paint it while I was with a baby one month old. In the apartment there were cucarrachas and mice in addition to my apartment lived a couple who every night we woke up with arguments parsley that was going to fall the roof this was at dawn and they never did anything. When we turned the year we went they told us that they would send the deposit I was sent a paper that owed more than 1000 dollars because I leave the dirty carpet that I had already taken 500 of the deposit and that I lack another 500 but they are brazen in that place each Time that someone goes from there happens the same always invent something to stay with the warehouse and from my experience I recommend that you do not go there looking for rent renting there there were quite a lot of robberies

Moving from out-of-state without being able to physically see apartments is not an easy task, but I can say that Julie was AMAZING throughout the whole process. She responded to emails and questions promptly - and I contacted her a lot. I leased a 3rd floor, 1-bedroom Birch, and it is exactly what I expected - I love it. The built-in bookcase and vaulted ceilings are a really nice touch in the living room space. The pool is clean and quiet, although the lake does need some work. I do wish there was more cabinet/counter space in the kitchen, but otherwise I'm glad I went with Allister Place. I haven't come across any deal breakers apartment or personnel wise. Me and my girlfriend have been living in our apartment here at Allister Place since June. I can truly say that it is a beautiful apartment. Especially for the area that it resides in. I have heard from various individuals and sources of how great the apartments are since they been remodeled. The Front Office has been very helpful. Any issues we have had with our apartment, maintenance was sent almost immediately. The ladies at the Front Office are very alert and welcoming. The only issues I can say I have had with Allister Place is with the floors I can hear almost every footstep my neighbors upstairs take ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT.

Unprofessional property management, they aren't personable at all. They will lie to you. They lied to me. I was late on my rent and so they sent me a notice stating that I had to pay $300.00 immediately or an eviction would be filed. I went in the office to pay it, however the woman in the office didn't have the paperwork for me to sign, so she placed a call to their "lawyer" & it seems as though the "lawyer" had no idea as to what the woman in the office was referring to. Well just to sweep everything under the rug, I paid the fees & she confirmed that the payment made was going to STOP the eviction. Next thing I know my girlfriend went up to the leasing office last Friday and they had advised her that I paid the $300.00 to START the eviction. On top of that we have until tommorow to move or else an eviction notice will be placed on the door. I would like to elaborate about how unprofessional the staff is. The property manager Kiley lives right above me & she has a drinking problem. She has shared information about tenants and her staff with both my girlfriend & I! As a gay black woman I'm hurt at the way I've been treated & Im looking into getting an attorney, because Nobody deserves to be mistreated. Especially at a place that I once called home. I'm also pretty sure that will retaliate against me... I wouldn't be surprised if I came back to my apartment and they placed all of my stuff outside. They have threatened to do it before!

I stopped by the office to see if they were able to give us until Monday (it was Friday) and I am told that the $360 that we paid to stop our eviction, was really a payment to their lawyer to evict us. I STRONGLY urge, that unless you want to go through the same thing that we have, and live in a place that is ran by a drunk who tells all of your business to everybody, I would keep looking for a different apartment.Oh, and keep in mind, I was told by Kylie herself, that "the "big boss" is her best friend. Thats how she gets away with everything!"

The renovations are well done. I just moved in today, and everything looked like new still. They did a great job with them. The ladies in the office are really nice too. My only suggestion is to get a top floor unit if it's available. The ceilings are vaulted, and the floors are carpet, but more importantly, it is quiet. I can tell the floors are a little on the thin side, as I can hear myself walking, which I'm sure my neighbors can hear it too, luckily for my downstairs neighbor, I'm never home and I live alone. Overall, so far so good, and it's such a cute apartment, I'm really happy with it. :)

Terrible, Horrific, Trashy, Expensive, Apartments smell, toilet never flushes, stray cats, pollen will ruin your car, potholes everywhere, sprinklers will always get you wet no matter which way you walk to your apartment, kitchen cabinet space is so small, kitchen drawer cant even fit a cutlery holder. No garbage disposal. Bathroom seems as if it were made for a little person. You can hear every footstep you make (you feel the vibrations throughout the apartment), every footstep your upstairs neighbor makes. No amount of remodeling will save this complex.

I love living here! I've only been here for about a month so far, but I have really enjoyed it! The office staff have always been super friendly, and I've never had any issues with my apartment, with parking, or with other residents. My neighbor is very friendly we both keep the outside of our units looking tidy & kept up with. The grounds are also kept up very well by management. This is a really nice complex, especially for the money. The pool area is always kept up with, from what I can tell, and the grass is watered daily. I live in a third floor unit, so I have carpet, but it looked brand new when I moved in (maybe it was), and the apartment was really clean. I love the stainless steel appliances! Also the fact that there was a full size washer & dryer in each unit helped make my decision a bit easier. The size of the unit is great! Even though it's a one bedroom, I have more than enough room for large furniture & have plenty of room for guests/company to visit. I haven't had a problem at all with any bugs, roaches, spiders, etc, and I'm pretty sure they spray around the complex pretty regularly. Really happy that I went with Allister Place!

Love my apartment! Going on 4 months. Appliances are new, full size washer and dryer in every unit. Stainless steel appliances. Even my cable guy was surprised how nice and affordable the unit is. Move in process was smooth, and the office ladies are very nice. Maintenance issues are addressed quickly. They have done a lot of work on making the grounds look nice. It is very quiet, and peaceful with plenty of parking. There is a nice gym with new equipment. So what if it was once a section 8 building. You would never know that now. The model units have wood floors, which you will only get on the first floor. Pictures are accurate. No pest issues, since they spray regularly, with advance notice. By far the nicest complex in the area. If I had any complaint, it would be that they don't have recycle bins, but that seems to be common in most complexes. Definitely not a deal breaker.

Some of the more recent reviews are SPOT ON, I strongly suggest reading them. Please save your money and look elsewhere. Don't be fooled by this properties flashy pictures. You can find much better!
