Approved applicants will pay their security deposit and first months rent online. Residents can pay online with debit ($9.99) or credit card (2.99%) during onboarding. Standard payment methods (e.g. eCheck/ACH) resume after the resident completes onboarding and progresses to the Online Portal. Once deposit is received, the lease will be sent out to electronically sign.
A welcoming environment is paramount to all of our residents. To help ensure ALL of our residents understand our pet and animal-related policies, we use a third-party screening service and require EVERYONE to complete a profile (No Pet/Pet/Animal). This process ensures we have formalized pet and animal-related policy acknowledgments and more accurate records to create greater mutual accountability. There is no fee if you do not have a pet and a minimal fee if you do. Your lease will not be renewed without this application completed.
Multiple applications; it is possible that Bay Area Real Estate & Rentals, Inc. may receive multiple applications from unrelated individual applicants on the same property. If such is the case, we will process all applications for consideration as to what we and/or the owner (at our sole discretion) deem the best applications, which may not necessarily be the first application received. In such cases, more than one applicant may be approvable, however only one will eventually be approved.
