If I could rate this property less than 1 star, I would. I moved in in April. From the time I was there there were three changes in management. And I can't even make this up. I moved out at the end of January.
Not only is there an excessive amount of dog poop which the current property manager threatens to fine residents for, but as other people have said the front office staff is exquisitely rude.
Honestly I'm a polite person. However when I am paying someone money for a service I expect this service to be provided.
To begin with we were told mail that would not fit in the mailbox would be delivered to the front office. I had packages go missing because the apartment complex suddenly, and without warning any residents of the changes, decided packages were to be left at the front door. Several of my items straight up went missing - and even when my tracking information said it was signed for by a front desk clerk the property manager (Terry is her name) told me that unless they had a specific name they couldn't be held accountable for it.
Guess what? They just lost the package in the back.
Furthermore let's talk about maintenance. So when I moved in originally there was a decent amount wrong with my apartment. But I personally know people who moved in to apartments that had roach infestations, black mold, and - get this - literally moved in and didn't have cabinets for a month.
Now this property cannot keep a steady maintenance team to save its life. Not only that but the temp guys they hire are constantly changing and are never in uniform at all. Imagine having this kid show up at your door with a huge ripped up shirt and sagging pants and literally just say "can I see your master bathroom?"
Furthermore because of this maintenance issue important things went unfixed forever. During the summer we were without air conditioning for about two months. We reported the issue constantly, and we're promised that someone's going to be there tomorrow. It took me going up front and actively yelling at them after multiple maintenance requests were DELETED from their system for someone to d something. And my roommate had mold in her bathroom, and at one point our hot water went out.
Now, this is where pets come into play. I personally have documentation from my therapist for emotional support animals. I have... well... okay, hold on. I'll get there. I have a puppy now, but a while ago we also had a small kitten we got in July. Now not only did the front office staff not know or understand what documentation I was trying to provide, but guess what?
The Parq on the Blvd got my cat killed. He was an indoor cat exclusively... but guess what? You know how we complain maintenance is poor? The vents in my bathroom started leaking. I reported this through their system six times over the course of a month and furthermore went to the front and told them that there was a leak and showed them videos as evidence. I literally had maintenance tell me they didn't find a leak.
Toward the end of January there was a leak out of the actual sheet enrich in my bathroom, not just the vents. The very next day my cat got sick while we were packing to move.
I had to rush my cat to the vet and spent over $2000 in vet bills only for him not to make it. You know what the vet said? It was likely a toxin. He got sick the day after the ceiling started leaking. We did not even get the chance to talk to the regional manager- Terry informed us she could not approve or deny compensation requests. Then, when our problem finally got fixed- while we were moving out - her maintenance team took pictures of the current state of the apartment and said it could have been anything.
Literally I lost my cat because of this place. There's no excuse. Just do yourself a favor and don't do it.
Seriously though I miss my cat. I wish they would own up to his death and their negligence.
