We were forced to move in sight unseen as coincidentally the management gave the keys to the only viewable apartment minutes before we walked in the office door knowing very well that we were less than 10 minutes away. And now we know why! The apartment and building are severely roach infested! They drop from the ceilings onto us, they flood the table when we eat, they crawl across the stove when you cook, and they have infiltrated my new air fryer and coffee pot! And, the management will tell you to buy your own supplies to fix the problem! They'll minimize the situation and claim they are "water bugs." No...there's 3 types of roaches! Their contracted pest control inspector said the entire building needs fumigated to fix the issue otherwise no amount of spraying will work. I use a LOT of bleach to kill roaches. They’re in the shower, race across your toes when you’re on the toilet, and you better seal your toothbrush in a ziplock cause they think it’s yummy!
Now mind you…we moved into this apartment from out of state with 1 suitcase each and we never had roaches before. Everything we own is new and now roach infested. Everything we own has to be thrown out. Mattresses…bedding. They’re in our fresh washed laundry. We can’t even own couches so we have to sit in camping chairs.
We went without a kitchen light for a month! That's so you can't see the roaches! It took 2 months to remove the wasps in our assigned parking...by the way we pay extra to dodge the wasps! Their "dog park" is a joke. No one cleans after their pets! We haven't had working bathroom sinks in weeks. They spray you when you wash your hands as the water shoots out sideways and they don't drain properly! The kitchen cabinets are all warped, hella old, and utterly ugly disgusting! Our drawer face fell off right after we moved in. None of the smoke alarms had working batteries. There's water damage everywhere in the apartment. The 1st bedroom closet door can't be closed because the door outer layer is peeling from the frame so when you open the closet the face of the door lifts and separates. When we moved in the carpet in the master smelled like someone died on it. It was so foul I had to pour many bottles of carpet powder before finally we couldn't use the master bedroom it stank so badly. The "rubbish valet" picks up 2 bags a night 5 nights a week. Lord forbid you might have a 3rd bag of shred paper light enough for a toddler to lift...cause the "valet" won't! If you decide to walk your rubbish to the compactor, be prepared to climb mounds of other people's rubbish to get to the machine! And, there's no outgoing mail slot! Plan a trip to the post office! If your mail was delivered to the wrong box be prepared to find it blowing on the ground! The level of disrespect is insane. The office staff has the worst imaginable communication. Venicia will tell you she emailed you and she didn't...nothing is in the portal either! They retaliate when you ask them to fix issues or they simply ignore you. And if by some chance they DO call you and you don't answer Venicia will come bang on your door because she deserves an immediate answer...but you can wait months to get anything accomplished! When you talk to her face to face she'll pretend she doesn't know what unit you live in and she'll commit to "fixing issues" then never follow through. Run if you can...this place is worse than living in a dumpster. The dumpster is probably cleaner!
