In the past 90 days, Renae and her staff have completed turned this place around! In the past, the office staff was very unfriendly, and every time I needed to go to the office to pick up a package, it seemed like the world's biggest inconvenience! Before Renae and her staff starting working on improvements the apartment was always dirty--somewhere--dog pee in the stair wells, trash piling up over the weekend etc. However, I will leave the past in the past, because Cadillac Lofts is the place to be!
Few things, if you love being in the mix of downtown, and walking 2 blocks to the river walk then this place should be your new home! If you like an industrial, modern space to hand your hat, this should be your new home. If you love impressing your friends and family with your "downtown loft" this should be your new home!
I have always wanted to live in the heart of the big city and I can finally do that, and without paying an arm and a leg. This apartment has a lot of offer, a beautiful rooftop lounge pool (I say lounge pool because it only gets about 4ft deep ;) ) but its a great spot to hang out, have some drinks and enjoy cooling off. A great 24 hr gym with stationary and free weights. The apartment and my boyfriend and I live in is amazing. We have HUGE windows that take up an entire wall, and have been apart of the building since it was built, I believe in the 1950's and they look out onto a busy street with some beautiful trees. We literally just look out the window and think "This place is gorgeous". We never pull the shades! We have upgraded appliances, the kitchen is my favorite, though it be a tight space, it has some great character! We live in "two bedroom. However it was shown to us as a 1 bedroom, 2 bath (!!!). It's awesome because our guests have their own bathroom and standing stall shower. The closet situation is a little interesting, however, we have fun making the most our of our space. We have concrete floors and white and stainless finishes. it is truly a unique space. We don't have any "real walls" they are half walls so you can clearly hear what is going on around the entire space, its pretty cool! We do have a door to lead into our bedroom but that's about it!
We moved from a 1,600 sq ft home in Stone Oak, to this apartment which is 750ish sq. ft and we have two large dogs. The space is great for our family! There is no "HUH?! I DIDN'T HEAR YOU, HOLD ON, LET ME GET OVER THERE." Which I LOVE!!!!!
ANOTHER HUGE PLUS, no breed shaming, ( yay!) they allow every single breed of fur baby. This is a huge point for us because we have a pit bull and a black mouth cur. Lots of other pitties live there in addition to other "aggressive breeds" we have had ZERO problems with other dogs or other tenants with their dogs.
Everyone that lives here is very respectful of people's privacy but are the first to hold the door if you have 1,000 bags of groceries, or catch the elevator for you, even inviting neighbors to parties (nothing crazy, just drinking wine and eating cheese, ha!) But seriously the environment is very welcoming.
Back to the staff at Cadillac Lofts, many of the older reviews are not about the current staff. Things have really taken a 180 degree turn in such a short time that it really gives me hope for the future of this historic place to live. The staff is nothing but friendly and prompt to help you with literally whatever!!! (One of the maintenance guys helped me carry my groceries to the elevator) It was so so nice.
I'm going on a rant, because I want potential leasers to feel comfortable knowing that this place is truly a hidden gem and that the staff here are so nice and actually value customer service. They don;t just want to hook you in, give you a promo, and then never talk to you again.
Go check this place out, you'll want to sign the lease immediately!
