North Raleigh Neighborhood Summary

North Raleigh has been growing rapidly, spanning the both the inner-beltway and outer-beltway areas. Though most of this area has a more suburban geography, there are also a number of urban-style apartments the closer you get to downtown. However, North Raleigh has a number of shops and restaurants in its own right, as well as the North Hills Country Club if you wish to golf or swim. If you’re an ardent traveler and live in the Northwest area, you’ll have convenient access to the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. For those that wish to enjoy the great outdoors, you can always job over to the sprawling William B. Umstead State Park for a nice hike or just to enjoy the scenery. Because North Raleigh is a little more “out of the way” than the rest of the city, you can get a lot of bang for your buck when living here.

Methodology

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
