Stone Creek Villas is a HEAVILY SMOKING community and they will not disclose this, nor let you out of your lease when you later discover chain smoke hazing up your apartment and ruining your furniture and belongs. Im a senior, and sold my house out of state to move back to Omaha to take care of even more elderly parents, and not living in apartments for decades, I had no idea property managers did not have to disclose smoking in 2016. When I moved in unawares, I spent thousands moving in with the moving costs, the utility set up costs, re-cleaning (the place was just filthy), putting in custom items (that could not be moved later, expensive ceiling fans, light fixtures, garage shelves, etc) as I was not planning to move anytime soon. Then when I moved in, smoking and pet urine smells were covered up with heavy perfumes. And everything that could break, brokeincluding a very damaged washing machine that when discovered the first week, it leaking had grown black mold up the walls around it. At move in I noticed ceiling water marks and was told the roof had been repaired but when rains started in shortly, the apartment ceiling leaked in even new places and started dripping water all over my belongings and then I discovered black mold up around the hot water heater closet where the leaking ceiling had been leaking a long time. Then the bathtub gushed leaks into the neighbors garage and at 6:30p at night maintenance was pounding on my door to turn off the water and had to fix that. The kitchen ceiling light exploded in sparks when I turned the light on that had to be fixed. On and on. Finally all was repaired, the ceiling and black mold walls were kilzed and repainted. Then the cigarette smoking of the neighbors started and THEN I found out we cant do anything, its a smoking apt." They will not let you out of your lease and will ask for rent and utilities to end of lease, re-rent fees, re-clean, re-paint, forget getting deposit back even if immaculate at move out, took over 100 photos of even the doors and fan blades clean, no furniture marks on the carpet from the $200 I spent to clean it before move in and items still unpacked left on clean moving blankets. But they want what ever is left in my savings for leaving early when I was already physically sick now with it all, and if not paid, they threaten ruining credit and my new tenant rental history. Submitted complaint to BBB and they did not respond. Be aware.
