It's pain me to write this review because I really don't like to complain. But I feel that an honest review is necessary to help tenants make an informed decision or at least be aware of what to look out for in this place. Let me first off start by saying some of the positives. The leasing agent and the maintenance man were very nice whenever I interacted with them. The grounds are green with quite a few trees. There is plenty of parking if you live at the far end towards the front. There are flexible leasing options and it's right off the freeway which is very convenient. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. When we moved in I noticed the apartment wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The toilet had urine crust at the bottom of the bowl, the bathtub was not clean and the drain was not draining properly due to the previous tenants hair being in the drain. Our garbage disposal stopped working completely after a week and made funny sounds right off the bat. The drain plug in the bathroom did not work. The floor on our apartment was uneven. Half the time when you took a step the floor would squeak like something I've never heard before. I felt uncomfortable to walk around freely at night because I know it had to drive the tenant below me crazy. I don't know how they can feel comfortable renting some of those lower units without a full disclosure. The office hours are only open during working hours. They actually made it worse and reduced the office hours and days available while I was there. You can also enjoy waking up every morning and not smelling Folgers but oil refinery fumes. At least you'll know when to expect the smell, just look for the burning torch across the freeway from your apartment. My biggest gripe is actually that they decided it was acceptable to charge us almost $200 in "cleaning" fees and "damages." Here is the problem with that. We only lived there for 2.5 months and we didn't have any furniture except for a bed. We arguably left the place in much better condition then we received it through our own cleaning and the maintenance guy fixing all of the stuff that was wrong. I highly advise taking pictures of everything you can before and after as they will not provide you with picture of said damages. A couple small things I almost forgot to mention. They also advertise xfinity internet but our apartment was not even wired for it. A small issue but resulted in a very long install time. In addition or back patio screen was completely broken when we moved in and was just leaning on the side of our patio, awesome! Overall, the people that worked there were nice but it's not worth it for what you get and the extra charges.

Am plensently surprised on how much I am enjoying this place. Moving from across the country, the staff at The Point was very helpful in sending pictures, details, ect. to me in a timely manner. Upon moving in I found the location very convienient to my job downtown. In fact there is even a bus stop right in front of the residence. Pros: location, space for the amount of $$$ spent. Cons: freeway/resident noise, grounds upkeep.

The Pointe is great! Management and office staff are super nice and very easy to work with. Repairs are always taken care of quickly and efficiently. The apartments have upgraded features and feel very homey. The Pointe is located in a good area with a park across the street, convenient freeway access, and gas stations & restaurants about a block away. The walls are a little thin which is a problem if you have noisy neighbors or neighbors with kids. Living on the ground level, you can hear upstairs neighbors walking around. Pet friendly community, which means dogs bark at all hours of the day/night. Also, other residents don't pick up after pets like they should. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives and I love living here!

Management has answered all of my questions and has been open and actively honest throughout my leasing process thus-far. More importantly, they have been very cheerful and friendly. Everyone on this ratings page that has gotten upset and given a 1-star rating over laundry, feces, maintenance or events that are out of management's control (water breakages) needs to re-evaluate. I noticed in all of your ratings you had nothing nice to say... therefore, I personally can conclude that your review has no credit or value to anyone because there certainly are nice things about this leasing development which include, but are not limited to being less than 200 yards from the North Salt Lake City Police Department and Hatch Park; or having great access to Route 15; or because the rent is generous and is far below your average rent-rate in the market; and magnificently enough you have a spa that was converted to storage space for all of your unhappy thoughts and unkind words! :) If you absolutely need a spa, I will personally start a GoFundMe campaign to raise $375 within the community so we can buy a portable one to cure your year-around coldness problem. If something is broke (lightbulb, clog or broken screen)- learn how to fix it; if the washer and/or dryer are not meeting your standards, then wash them somewhere else, or ask for a $3.00 refund (which I know management would immediately do); or, if there is garbage or feces on the ground, be like an LDSaint or hero and pick it up along with your own pupsters massive power poo. Now, historically I have not been perfect in all of my doings and relationships, but I know one of the keys to everyone winning is constructive communicating, and not criticizing without it. Five (5) Stars, all-day. Not changing the rating on this review- even if the leasing office tries to make me. ;)

Management has been a struggle and has had huge turnover in less than a year. They tried to move us into a "remodeled" apartment that had terrible architectural flaws and looked nothing like the model apartment, were unable to provide pest control for over a week when it was needed, water pipes froze in the entire complex and the matter wasn't attended to for three days (a long time to go without washing/drinking/cooking water), and are seriously lacking in customer service skills. The grounds always have dog/cat feces. They advertise for a spa but it has been broken for three years. It was not a good experience living there at all.

We've lived her for almost 7 years and the management has changed about 3-5 times. When we first moved in we were offered about $200 off out 1st month's rent when we renewed our lease. That stopped about 3 or 4 years ago, instead our monthly rent goes up every year and we still have the same apartment we moved into almost 7 years ago. Management has provided us with small updates but each update determines how much our rent goes up. We also have to pay for the utilities that is used in the club house. We never even use the club house and hardly use the pool in the summer time. Management now is better than it has been but there's still lots that could be done to make things better.

It's been good here. Main problem is people don't clean up after their dogs. But maintenance is reliable and has fixed all the issues...

I am not sure what has happened for so many people to have a negative review of the management. I have had to go into the office to speak to them and Cassandra is always right on top of it. I had to have the maintience come in to fix my heat, and that was before it got super cold, and they were over in less than 30 minutes working on it. I love living here I do not regret moving here for a minute. As for hearing your neighbors, well we live in apartments that is to be expected. Maybe I just have nice neighbors.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The girls running the office are NO HELP what so ever! We had a billing issue with them and they kept telling us there was nothing they could do to fix the billing issue. And so we kept getting a late fee added onto our bill because "there was nothing they could do to change our bill to be sent to an email address". So I happen to notice a toll free customer service number on my bill, and I call them and they change my email address within 5 seconds of my phone call, they also tell me that I can manage my account through the website. The girls at the front office especially a girl name Torri (who would hang up on me constantly) NEVER told me about these simple options she only EVER said "it can't be changed". To me this place only wants to add on the $99 late fee to get more money out of their tenants. Once my contract is up I will NEVER go back!

Have lived here for two years (not by choice, but because of work location) and this place is terrible! The management treats like garbage to say the least. Every time I go in there for any reason they are so rude to me. Everything is falling apart here due to their "newly remodeled" apartments being the cheapest material they can find. I have to call in maintenance in all the time ( pipes not working properly, vents and heaters not working, garbage disposal, ect.) and they make you feel like a bad person and act like it's the end of the world to do their jobs. Way to over priced for where it's at and how it's built. Seriously felt like the building was leaning when we lived on the top floor, and to prove it... it was not level! Our neighbor had cockroaches and they had to spray twice for it! Their apartment was infested! Ours wasn't to spiffy either. We had ants all over the place pretty much from the time we moved in. Upon checking into the first place, the carpets were disgusting and they promised they would change it. Once the day came to actually move in, they said they would clean it better. Empty promise. We have mildew growing in our bathrooms and they say there is nothing they can do except for take it out of our deposit when we move out! I called them as soon as I noticed which was not to long after moving in. This is seriously a health issue... what if it's mold???? What are we paying for?!?!?!? This place is small and disgusting!! Way to over priced especially for all the stuff that goes wrong before you move in and they slam you with afterwards. For the two years we have lived here there has been no hot tub. They "fixed" it twice and and each time it was luke warm water. As like everything else, the gym equipment is busted and doesn't work at all. Pretty much... the club house sucks. They say it's under remodel, but let's see where that leads. The only thing they have done to improve the place is to paint the outside of the building (poorly I might add) and plant some trees. Polishing a turd as my grandmother would say. I am now pregnant and camping in my own apartment.. yes CAMPING!!! The main water has blown and now the whole place is out of water. Imagine that ... no water means no cleaning dishes, no taking showers, and the toilet wont flush!!!!!!! I agree with these other past tenants... Don't ask me to call because I have spoke to management numerous times only to be treated like an inmate and not have problems resolved. My solution to this never ending problem here... fire these people, demolish the place, and then salt and sage the grounds. NEVER AGAIN!

Avoid any property managed by Alliance with a ten foot birth. After my lease magically changing from a six month to a year when I put in my notice. I've decided that the management company is not only bad, but unethical and amoral. I was going to give the employees working in the office a break, but they are rude, have very poor short term memories, and generally just don't give a crap about the tenants. I ended up biting the bullet and bailing on the place after paying a massive buyout of my newly discovered one year lease. I want nothing to do with this management company ever again. I would have fought it legally, but I put my trust in people and this management company and didn't retain recordings of conversations or physical paperwork. I trusted that the online paperwork I filled out wouldn't magically change dates and terms on me. So I accept responsibility for not covering my own butt. Not to mention, the "upgraded" units are definitely not worth the money. They are poorly maintained with crappy veneer paint jobs, uneven flooring, and very outdated, unreliable, energy inefficient HVAC units. The AC was broken (compressor would freeze) more often than it worked, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The maintenance requests went ignored because I had let the unit thaw so it would actually work, so they never did anything about it. Overall, a horrible experience. Edit -- Tori -- I talked to you specifically on multiple occasions. I'd really rather not be talked down to any more, so I will not be calling.

I have lived in this complex for over 7 years (too lazy to move). When I first moved in the rent wasn't bad and the management was also fine more important the maintenance was fantastic! Now fast forward 7 years and the rent is way too high for the apartment, the management spends more time patting themselves on the back for how awesome they think they are and the maintenance is beyond bad. Both myself and my downstairs neighbor had maintenance issues that took not a week but a month to correct. I lost power to half of the apartment my neighbor lost hot water. In both cases the management offers you a newly remodeled apartment as a fix. Now really I am not going to pack up move apartments due to a maintenance issue. On top of that I would be charged for the privilege. I also have seen the remodels and they are no where worth the raise in rent. I also found that I am paying about $15.00 less than the people who moved in during the first days of the new owners but now the difference between rent from apartments is insane and mostly due to better blinds. Yes I said better blinds. I also don't understand how it is legal to bill for the rent with an actual bill that actually changes from month to month and the reason is we are required to pay for the common areas. I have never lived in an apartment that had no shame and billed me for the areas that should be in the current price of the rent as one of the reason for renting are the pool and the gym but here they are charged separately and we are also charged $3.75 for the privilege of getting a bill for our ever changing rent. I would opt out of the bill but thats not a option even though you can pull up your rent online. Last I want to mention the online payment options, there is a $1.99 charge to pay the rent online which is just one more sign of how they charge for EVERYTHING and you don't even want to know what it is if you have them take the payment directly out of the account without a credit card. I only just started using because I forgot to order checks and it should also be noted they won't take money orders only cashiers checks. My final recommendation is I don't care how bad you need a place there is a long term stay motel not to far and unless you have a pet they are more reasonable and friendly and all your bills are combined into the rent no surprises. If that won't work your car would be the 2nd choice. There are so many places you can go for a lot less and better service but my final advice is if you can get out of Utah, this state has no real renters right so the management can do what they want and you will not have any way to fight it! The only thing I got from the Utah renters rights is no matter how bad you are treated pay your rent or get sued and evicted and have to pay legal fees! STAY AWAY SAVE YOURSELF LISTEN TO THOSE OF US THAT CAN'T BE SAVED! I WOULD NOT GIVE THIS PLACE ANY STARS IF POSSIBLE BUT WONT LET ME.
