Bergen Community College

BCC is a commuter college without dorms, so most students have cars. You can take a bus from Paramus to Manhattan through New Jersey Transit, and there are a couple other bus routes in the area to nearby locations. BCC doesn’t offer any campus transportation, and requires parking permits to use the campus parking lots. Paramus is home to the Van Saun Park, which is a nice little park with a little zoo, little railroad, and carousel. It’s cute and clean plus pony rides and a playground, so it can be a little noisy with small children, but its a nice place to go. There are a couple other regular parks in the area too. There is a public swimming pool, a mini golf course, regular golf courses, movie theaters, an arcade, and a few shopping centers, including the Westfield Garden State Plaza, though parking can be difficult.
