Update: So someone in management responded to this years after I left this review (see below). And let me just say their social unawareness has proven my point.
An apology would have been considerate, but instead this person just discredits my experience. Hello!? Im reviewing you, you dont just get to write me off as out of date. So let me respond as to why Im pretty sure theyre just trying to save face and recover from the 2.7 stars (updated my review to 1 star now).
A) The pictures I just looked are the same from when we left in 2020.
B) Even if they did have a good upgrade, the lack of soundproofing is the worst and I doubt they gutted all the buildings and added decent soundproofing.
C) Heres another story: We found another place to stay (because the crime had gotten so bad), and I asked the higher ups if I could rework my lease and pay the difference. They said no. They didnt care about us and this response discrediting my experience is yet another point in my case.
Sounds like people should still stay away.

Got an email TODAY from Mrs. Cooke stating that I wasn't actually approved for the apartment due some addresses supposedly being wrong on my report and that they needed written proof from the landlords or some bs like that. They had already pulled my previous addressed because I was asked to update my application a few weeks back and I did and heard NOTHING about any discrepancies being on my file until now. I was due to move in the Middle of May. Not sure where any of this is coming from now. I've applied for other apartments in other locations and NO ONE has EVER brought up anything about any discrepancies being on my report that would prevent me from getting an apartment.

In the 6 months Ive lived here, I have not once been able to directly contact the property manager. She is never in the office - any day, any time. Delia is completely incompetent and has not done any management services. Every month, I have to call and let her know Ive paid rent or she accuses you of skipping. She lost my lease twice after I signed. She ignores maitenance requests (took 5 months to get my tub fixed so it would drain properly). There is vandalism on the property, as well as no working facilities. I am utterly disgusted at the business practices here and cannot wait until my lease ends.

The apartment themselves are in great condition, especially for the price and location. The only reason we left was because we wanted more space and ended up buying a home. We will continue to recommend Candlewood Apartments to anyone in Nashville!

My name is Barbara, I lived there a few years ago and NOT one time did I have any problems from management, nor my apartment. The manager was awesome she was always there for me when ever I needed to speak with her I would definitely recommend Candlewood Apts to anyone thats looking for a quite place to live. As I was reading these reviews I immediately thought, this was the BEST place Ive live, it was CLEAN, QUITE and GREAT management. I would definitely come back first choice. Keep up the GREAT work!!!
