While we've mostly enjoyed living here, several aspects of this apartment complex have been negative enough to warrant a public rating. The hard part about this is, the people who we know that work here are great, they're just overwhelmed and definitely don't get enough home-office support to do their jobs well. Ultimately, when someone pays for an up-scale apartment, they shouldn't have to deal with these issues. we've lived in other apartment communities but this is the only one I've ever had problems with. - Worn/Stained Carpets - The day we moved in we had to do the typical apartment walk through with one of the facility's staff. The carpet in the apartment was old, worn and had many stains. This was not acceptable for an apartment move-in. They apologized and said that they had it cleaned but it must not have done the job. They had me. They couldn't replace the carpets now, we had the moving truck waiting outside. They said they would fix it, but after repeated reminder calls over the course of several months, we gave up. The play the game of "ignore the problem and hope it goes away" quite well. - Aging Appliances - I'm sure that when this place opened everything worked perfectly, though appliances are now showing their age. Since we've been living here we've had non-stop problems with our washer and dryer. Despite repeated inconveniences they continue to put bandaids on the problems. The best was when our dryer began to smolder/smoke due to the facility not ever cleaning out the dryer vent (in the wall). Our neighbor's dryer actually caught on fire and filled their apartment with smoke. They had to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher and the fire department was called to remove the charred appliance. As I type this we've been without a functional washer and dryer for close to two weeks. They dismantled the unit and left it in pieces because a part was on order. I understand that this is sometimes the case, but it's completely unacceptable to leave a family without a washer and dryer for this length of time. If the unit has repeated serious issues REPLACE IT. - Eyesores - The grounds also have a constant eyesore by the southern entrance. There's persistent piles of trash by the dumpsters. TVs, old furniture, satellite dishes, all sitting in piles near the dumpster. During the past summer they replaced a bunch or doors and door jams - these sat in the grass, nails and screws sticking out. Neighborhood kids played with all this stuff. I'm not sure how this facility gets insured. The facility slogan is "Where Pleasurable Living is Defined," however it really makes me question what their definition of pleasurable living is. If you're looking for quality apartments in the area, you're better off looking at Parkland View apartments on the other side of town. If you do choose to live here, take our advice, log everything and take pictures. It will take persistence to get things done right.

Renter Beware... When I first moved to Spring Creek Apartments in October, 2013, I was very happy with the location, amenities and staff. Prior to moving in, the leasing manager did a walk thru and noted rust stains on the carpet and black marks on the balcony floor, etc. Nothing was ever done about them. the apartment was up-to-date but the carpet was old and the dryer and refrigerator were old and not efficient....resulting in high energy bills. A few months ago I notified the office that I was unexpectedly moving out of state. I was told there was a 2-1/2 times one month's rent charge to break the lease. I was semi-ok with that. I couldn't get a mover until the 6th of August and was then told I needed to pay the 'entire' month of August. I wrote a letter to the leasing manager and developer, Fieldstone Associates in NJ, asking if they would consider pro-rating the last month's rent or, at least, charge me to the 15th. I was denied! This is the epitome of CORPORATE GREED!!! It is going to cost me $5,000 to move out. I'm a 67 yr. old widow on social security and this is going to be a financial hardship. To add insult to injury, the leasing office sent me a "Move Out Schedule of Charges". I'm already going to have $145 deducted from my security deposit for them to professionally clean the carpet after move-out. Isn't that supposed to be the landlord's responsibility, not the tenant's? The schedule listed over 70 move-out items....for example: $25 to clean behind the refrigerator (I'm 67 and can't move the refrigerator....duh!!) $25 to clean each return vent $25 to clean baseboards $2 for each nailhole You get the picture..... Packing and moving is traumatic enough without having to leave this apartment spic and span after the movers leave. The first winter here there were major drafts (wind) coming thru gaps in the front door and frame. I did my own weather stripping to save on heating bills. My initial happiness about living here has turned to a bitter taste in my mouth. I hope the developer enjoys every penny of the $5,000 it is costing me to move out prematurely.

The property itself is lovely and large enough for my family. The management team on the other hand doesn't even try to work with...

The property itself is lovely and large enough for my family. The management team on the other hand doesn't even try to work with you when something goes wrong ( I don't normally write these types of reviews, but the public should be aware). Whenever something goes wrong with the building, they try to hold me liable when in actuality its the management company that should be held liable. I fell on the ice on our first ice storm and they tried to say the walkways were salted, I had to take pictures to prove they weren't. When I first moved in, they voided first deposit checks by mistake and asked for them a month later saying they screwed up and if I didn't pay, I would be evicted - I feel if they messed up, they have to eat their mistakes. I love living here, but the management team has to change!

This place is gorgeous and the amenities are tremendous. However, all those great things about this place can easily be tarnished by the management here. The lady that seems to be the leasing/community manager is a stuck up arrogant person. Seems to racial profile individuals and treats you as if she is doing you some big favor.
