PROS: Maintenance respond in a timely manner and do a nice job maintaining the courtyard area and surrounding areas outdoors. I love the exposed brick in my apartment and the neutral color scheme of walls and carpet in foyer, living room and bedrooms. Love the high ceilings and large windows too. Also within very close proximity to my children's schools and downtown Lancaster.
CONS: I LOATHE the colors and style of my kitchen and bathroom. They are not only out of date but the style does not match the style of the areas that I do love. I wish I could remodel those two areas. I would choose tasteful colors to improve the appearance. It would look more modern. Also, I wish my neighbors were a bit more understanding of my circumstances as a single Mom, with small children with behavior issues and the struggles I face on a daily basis. Especially considering that I am gone majority of the day unless I have off work, usually very quiet at night with the rare occurrence of a behavioral episode during nighttime hours. Things can get noisy for a short time during morning and evening routines but I am the last person that should be targeted for complaining bc there are people in here slamming doors really loud all the time, fighting in hallway in middle of the night, excessive smoking and people all over the building being loud but they choose someone with a true struggle, who is not blatantly being noisy, to harass and complain about. As if I do not have enough stress already. Overall, it is a decent place regardless of some of the things that are stressing me out. If they decide to allow me to change the kitchen and bathroom; if I ask permission; that would probably bump them up to a 4 or maybe even 4.5 star rating. Oh yeah, and my carpet has some wear and tear as well.
