Rhonda, the old property manager, was horrible! She did not cater to your needs....but the new property manager, Ashley is such a sweetheart!!! Nice apartments!!
Thats horrible if the leasing mgr(rhonda) is that rude .me just like other apt seekers depend on reviews too many tenants have statedstated her name that's not good.

I really enjoyed my experience with Oak Lake Apartments. I had lived there for over 5 years, changing apartments depending on my roommate situation. The single bedroom had the best layout, followed by Autumn Leaf. I had a good relationship with the landlord and maintenance. Maintenance did change up frequently and had different level of efficiency, but rarely had a problem last over 24 hours. The apartments very well taken care of and the only reason I had to move out was due to moving in with another friend outside of the complex. Will miss the complex greatly.

I have lived here for 2 years now. The people that are leaving negative comments about Rhonda...the property manager.... are crazy. She is one of the most kind and accommodating property managers I have ever rented from. Rhonda bends over backwards to make sure her residents are happy. A few examples would be the annual Halloween and Christmas parties that she throws for ALL of the residents in the club house. Food, beverages, games, music, bonfires...all at no cost to us. If I have had a maintenance problem, it was fixed within 1-2 business days. I honestly don't have enough positive things to say about Rhonda or the apartment complex in general, and I am a PICKY tenant. The WORST thing I could say, is it gets cold in the units in the winter......that's it. I love it here, the only reason I will move, is when I purchase my own house. Move here...you will not regret it....be a respectful and kind tenant and you will love it at Oak Lake.

There is a mew leasing agent working there every 3 months and new maintenance men as well only one consistent maintenance man which is Rodney. Rhonda has anger issues and if you dis agree with her then she acts irrationally which is strange for a property manager.

I referred a friend to move here and was supposed to get money off rent, after being told by Rhonda that it would come in a check, we never received the check, after calling numerous times and leaving numerous messages, she finally called back and said my name was never put down on the app, even though the person did and said Rhonda even wrote it down herself. Then the a couple of weeks before we were moving out she comes BANGING on our door and tells us and another resident that our children could not ride their bikes around the complex. Then turned and told my boyfriend, in front of the other resident, that because of OUR children playing outside, she's gotten complaints and even had someone move out. REAL PROFESSIONAL RHONDA !!! THEN AFTER THAT SHE TOLD MY BOYFRIEND THAT SHE'D BREAK OUR LEASE AND MAKE US MOVE OUT NOW .. (ALL OF THIS WAS SAID IN FRONT OF THE OTHER RESIDENT) I've asked for her boss' information 3 times and still have not been given it! I'm at a loss of words for this lady, all I can say is DOOOOO NOOOOOT RENT HERE!!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

I have been a resident at oak lake for about a year now and just signed my lease again! I love living here! Super quiet and never have I had an issue here. Rhonda is such an amazing property manager. Since the beginning she worked with me and made it possible for me to move in without having to break my previous lease, with another property. i always get complimented for how spacious my apartment is and how clean the property is maintained. Oak lake is a fantastic property to reside in and I'm so glad to have found this place!

I lived at Oak Lake for about two years the first time its was pretty good under JC Hart property management no breed restrictions and Holly was great on top of everything I moved and came back J C Hart no longer owned the property and the new company made alot of changes made the property breed restricted which is orginally why i came back so that i could own a pitbull but they didnt tell me about their new policy until after i signed my lease. Also maintenance is very slow my toliet broke amd over flowed in the middle of the night i called emergency maintenance he told me he'd be out in 30 minutes and never came i called the next day and it still took hours needless to say is i couldn't use my restroom for hours. My back patio is also falling apart, the wood is rotten with nails coming up. I also voiced serveral noise compliants and the problem was never resolved. The community is nice and area is homey but improvements need to be made.
If your looking for a place to stay in Indianapolis Oak Lake Is definitely the place to stay! Me and my girlfriend lived here...

Rhonda the best proporety manager in the state of Indiana hands down I've stay in my fair share of apartment in different cities in Indiana and this is the best by far! If it wasn't for me taking a job new job in Georgia I would be still living there! Thanks for the awesome time Rhonda.

I had a wonderful experience at Oak Lake. Rhonda, the manager, is absolutely wonderful and does what she can to make the experience as pleasant as possible. My husband and I are very young and we'd just gotten married and moved to a new city. It was scary at first, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Most of the apartments that we'd visited, the staff was nice enough, but you didn't feel welcome or anything. This place a so different. It's wonderful. I highly recommend staying at Oak Lake.
