Horrible place to live. They'll lure people in with low prices and the commodities, but after you stay for a day you'll realize why everything is so cheap. Most of the residents there are inconsiderate and DIRTY!
You'll find trash lining the entire place. Mostly in the ditch by the residents only entrance. Shards of bud light platinum line the sidewalks, stairways, and decorate the trees. Remains of a half-eaten PB&J sandwich will lay on the hood of someone's car while a empty pizza box lies on the trunk. Please don't wear sandals or flip-flops for your own sake! And sometimes you'll even find discarded razor blades sitting on the handrails. A lot of residents will also discard their trash right outside the door and in the space beneath the stairs - where it will attract ants and other vermin. And the tanning & gym often doesn't have ANY kind of cleaning supplies - so use at your own risk. (Google the diseases you can pick up from both of those places being dirty...)
Noise pollution is worst problem in my opinion. Laying in bed I was often kept wide awake by my downstairs neighbors who owned an "awesome" speaker system. I could literally feel the vibrations through my floor. There's tons of fights in the parking lot. You'll see "tumbleweave" litter the parking lot. Lots of the residents/their guests have vehicles with custom speaker systems too. Which means a ton of rattling trunks and bass during the middle of the evening/night. The residents who work the front desk will often throw parties too. Sooo there is a TON of noise pollution around the place.
And don't expect much security. There will be tons of people sitting in the stairwells. Who won't even bother to stand or move so you can walk upstairs to your apartment. They might even ask you for sex. And if you park in front of a stairwell KNOW that someone will be sitting on the hood of your car that night. And don't really bother calling the courtesy officer. He'll only tell you that he can put in a write up to the office about your complaint. And if you call the housing office after dark with a complaint they WILL NOT get back to you - ever. The gate is a joke. Look outside the gate on any night and you'll find about 2-5 cars waiting for someone to open it. Sometimes they'll be lucky and the gate will just sit WIDE open. (Not sure why it's often propped open, but it is.)
Don't bother talking to the management either. They'll ignore any existence of your complaints. And nothing will be done to fix it, you'll just hear a ton of excuses about why they can't do anything and promises of what they're going to do later. Like "free printing" you have a printer there but they NEVER change the toner, and if you ask why they'll just say the printer is broken... (but if that's the case just replace it!) And what's really disturbing is they owner doesn't even know his own "rules and regulations". He flat out told me about quiet hours for the apartments, however the rules mention that at no time will residents disturb their neighbors... Sounds like an all day type thing to me...
What's really sad is this place could be great! It has a TON of potential. And I feel like MOST of the problem isn't the actual residents - it's all the trash that likes to pile in and who no one is willing to throw out (which SHOULD NOT be a problem). And part of me wonders if ANY of the actual residents even want them inside.
Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra to live somewhere else, it's definitely worth it. And if you don't feel like I'm giving a fair review just ask the local police station for the crime statistics from the area. Which is something you should do anywhere you live. This place feeds of the ignorance of young adults, I'm begging you to please not fall prey to this scam...
