UPDATE- I went and talked to the new management and they apologized for the website issue and told me not to worry about the pending re-certification. Changed to 5 star because they seem very friendly and awesome :)
I've had a pretty good experience here and this is my 3rd year living at this complex. It's bug-free, its pretty clean for the most part, my maintenance requests are always tended to (I know they are understaffed for maintenance and I think they do a pretty good job). The tenants are what make this place negative. I constantly have kids knocking on my door, throwing rocks at my window (they actually knocked down my roommates screen), making inappropriate comments to people that walk past(saying things like "we're gonna kill you" and "I like that a**") O_O I really think the parents in the complex need to watch their kids more. The reason I gave 4 stars is because I had renewed my lease in May (my lease ends in August). The whole time is has said "pending." I go to check it one day and it said "cancelled." Now I check again and the website is COMPLETELY different and my log in is not working thanks to the new management and I've gotten no notification from it.

First off let me say Iam a current resident living in this Beverly Hills cover up for a NAZI NEO apartment complex. From the fake gate that never works to the massive amount of ROACHES spiders and many other bugs in ALL the apartments that they refuse to address, But if that wasnt enough to turn you away from the $1200 a month ghetto then there is the enormous amounts of break ins Robberies, RIOTS FIGHTS and not a lack of gunshots in the middle of the night. FIGHTS are a frequent thing here almost everyday, but not a fight as you may think but a fight involving KNIVES GUNS AND OTHER WEAPONS but hey theres always the nonexistent security cop that could ensure your home is safe right? Wrong!! There is no security but never a lack of ASO officers as they pretty much sit in the area because there are so many robberies or forced entry that know the refer to it as the COVE. Its sad when you move from one of the worst parts of town to a supposedly gated community only to find that the THEFTS are more often here than ANYWHERE IN TOWN. Now I know what your thinking arent there cameras? What about management? Well there stuff is broken into or stolen too so whats that tell you? No one is really safe here even if you lock your doors they busting windows. Then there is the large amount of kids which I love but when you mix that with all of this its absolutely a big mess!!! never in my 30 years have I seen a PRINCIPLE riding a SCHOOL BUS escorted by a SHERIFF!! Long story short dont move here!!!

Because they basically let in anyone who is willing to pay for there expensive condominiums granted the houses are nice inside but the people not so much and they pretty much let their kids do whatever most of the time kids are outside with no supervision trashing the neighborhood and then nobody does anything about it . the kids and parents are crappy ut there are some people who keep to them selves athough most of them are loud and confrontational .
It's ok just not the place for me and my kids.

Harbor Cove is deceitful the rent is at a lower rate however the GRU bill is high and water is not included you pay it separately. The units oven and dryer are both gas not electric. Everything is done online so to pay rent if its not a cashiers check you have pay a additional fee to make a online rent payment to them. So you make up the difference in lower rent through all this additional hidden fees

I've been living in the complex with my kids going a year now, and I fully intend to stay another year. The apartments themselves are awesome! The office staff are kind and helpful. The groundskeepers are courteous and do a great job with upkeep and maintenance of the the apartments and the grounds. Always kept clean, with the exception of the trash compactor. (Gets over run with trash due to lazy Tennants). The amenities included in living here are wonderful and definitely worth the price for rent!!

I have been a resident of Harbor Cove for soon to be a year and I take pride in where I live. I just love how well kept the apartments and the grounds are being kept. I never witness or heard of any major incidents, prowling, loitering, burglarized or fighting. Those were major concerns for me. The office staff, including the Apartment manager, Robin, Maintenance Department and Office staff has made living for me in Harbor Cove a great place to live. Yes, maintenance department has issued me a warning as well for trash left on the outside, but he did brought it to my attention, he approach me and wasnt rude, he professional and courtesy and gave me a warning. Even after the warning, he continues to be courtesy. He just was doing his job. I do have say, the water/sewer bill, I dont agree with all of time. Water & sewer consumption is way more than I have use in the past and GRU agree. Whenever I have any problems or need to address the office staff, they listen including the Maintenance and always resolving my issues within a reasonable time frame and whether or I call or request maintenance service online. Yes for me, Harbor Cove is great place to live and great public schools zoning for this area as well.

This was by far one of the worst places I have lived in Gainesville. At first, especially when you are moving in, the staff is friendly and efficient. Once the lease is signed, the staff becomes increasingly unfriendly, and NO work will get done on your behalf. On move in, we were promised new carpets, new paint, and proper cleaning. We received none of these, though requested several times throughout the stay. Upon move-out, they attempted to charge us for items clearly listed on the Move-In check-list, in the amount of well over $1000. The gates are almost always broken, and the neighbours destroyed our small herb pot outside out door several times, and the management ignored us entirely. On the 4th month living there, the bathtub of the tenant above sprung a huge leak, soaking the carpeting in 3 rooms and the roof in all three as well. The repairs done consisted of using a fan to dry on room of carpet, and a statement of "keep the air-conditioning low, and it will be fine." I strongly suggest you find somewhere - anywhere - else to live, including and up to a cardboard box under the highway.

Saying that the management team is poor is a huge understatement. They are on a good day unknowledgeable and extremely rude. If you have the misfortune of moving in it is only a matter of time before you will be misinformed about something and it will cost you money. A cold staff member and management will do little to nothing to help. The gates don't work 60% of the time. The Trash compactor seem to be broke very often, forcing you to leave you trash just laying on the outside of it. For the lack of a better term "Ghetto" does describe most of the happing in the area, drive to the back of the complex or come right when school lets out and draw your own conclusions. And that "wonderful" looking apartment had more surprises than I care to talk about. Please do yourself a favor and keep looking.
