The apartments location is amazing. Close by the beach, pharmacies, malls, restaurants, schools and everything you need! It is Modern, renovated, clean, and very well maintained as well as the pools, barbecue area, parking lot, and gym. The leasing office staff is awesome! Sasha and Yazmin are very polite and super diligent. They do their best to keep the condominium organized. Furthermore, the neighborhood is friendly and quite. I would really recommend Essex Heights

I just wanted to leave a review as more of a thank you to Yasmin Ortiz who works at the leasing office for Essex Heights. My wife and I have been shopping around and calling all over the area and Yasmin has been nothing but helpful from the start.
From our dates shifting all around multiple times, to unnecessary difficulties with the initial payment, western unions fault not Essex heights, we were having trouble constantly throughout the process. Trying to move across the country on a rather short notice is already stressful enough and normally coordinating a new lease would be as well, but not this time. Yasmin was incredibly understanding and always worked with me and my wife, rescheduling at least 3 different times for the paperwork/key pickup when we were unable to make it due to other problems, she ensured that each step of the way we were taken care of.
As far as the initial review of the apartment, it seems alright at first and about what you would expect for the price of a 1 bedroom in the area. The appliances are brand new which is nice and the grounds appear to be well kept. Assigned parking is a plus especially coming from a place where it felt like the Wild West any time after 4pm on a weekday but the spaces are a little small for my mid sized truck. Ill most likely update this review later after having more time at this location.

Hi, I'm Laurie and I've called Essex heights "home" for almost 12
years, the longest I've ever stayed in one place and it's easy to see why. First it's the best location in town, right in the middle of popular Encinitas. On one side is the fun downtown area and great beaches, all of 7 minutes away and on the other side are my favorite shops and stores also 7 minutes away. To add to the convenience, the major freeway 5 is just around the corner. Another big plus is the fact that Essex Heights is incredibly quiet and safe due to the watchful eye and super professional yet warm and friendly manager Mirella, who keeps things running smoothly. Her assistant Sasha is also a great gem and if a problem arises, the maintenance guys are quick to resolve it. Currently, they're in the process of rejuvenating and upgrading each apartment, so it's for sure Essex Heights will be an even better place for it's residents to call "home" . L. Roberts
