Oregon Neighborhood Summary

Oregon is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of Dayton. Located just southeast of downtown, it contains some of the oldest surviving commercial and residential buildings in the city, and its gorgeous late-Victorian architecture has been lovingly preserved. Today, the area is the epicenter of a small arts scene, clustered around The Neon, which specializes in foreign and art-house cinema, and a number of small boutiques and galleries, like Gallery 510. It’s also a dining (and drinking) hotspot, home to acclaimed restaurants like Thai 9 and beloved bars The Trolley Stop and Blind Bob’s.

Methodology

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
