Fontbonne University

There are four St. Louis Metrolink stations that are within walking distance of Fontbonne’s campus. Forsyth is to the west of the university, U City Big Bend and Skinker are to the north, and Forest Park is to the northeast. Taking the link is convenient and quick. It only takes around a half hour to get from any of these stations to the city. You can also use the link to get around from your off-campus apartment to campus, and there are buses that run locally as well. The east side of Fontbonne’s campus spills into St. Louis’s largest city park, Forest Park. It contains almost 1,400 acres of recreational space and some of the city’s most well-known attractions, like the St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Art Museum, and the St. Louis Science Center. Students love going to the park to study, relax after class, or hang out with friends. St. Louis is also just seven miles away from campus, and has all the nightlife and fun activities any college student could ask for. Fontbonne is great because it gives students access to all the city’s amenities without the hassles of urban living.

Methodology

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
